So I was thinking about using one of my empty beaches is basically an apartment. The tiny beach that everyone gets. I was thinking about having three apartments/ rooms and one big common area and a real basementy-basement feel with lots of random junk and a tool shelf or two. Plus washing machines.

What's your take?

I'm guessing that this is more like a dormitory than an apartment but still I want some opinions.

My goal is to have 3 rooms/1 large room/ balcony on top. And a general common/kitchen area for others

You mean creating a second character to use another home placed on the beach for that?
Your idea sound pretty cool to me! I haven't seen that before, just hotels

Yeah, another character ideally.

Might have to use custom paths for that :( (I don't usually and I don't like to)

You could make it a "hostel" which is a low budge hotel generally geared towards young adults. This would fit the "junk/run down" or older vibe lol

I like this idea. I thought about doing this in New Leaf but never did, so I'd love to see it happen here.

I like the idea! Truth be told, my own house is a bit of a mixed nightmare. However, I’m making a hotel out of my sister’s defunct characters house.

Nice idea. Would love to see something different 😀

Sounds like an intriguing idea I hope if you decide to do it you'll post some pictures :)

How so? Actually kinda curious about what you think.
Hmm well when I think "hostel" I picture the white brick wall and perhaps some sort of light wood floor (something worn and weathered, maybe like the ship deck flooring) for the main bedroom. There would be a lot of bunk beds (specifically the "bunk bed" item with silver metal railing) and maybe you could use like rover's briefcase or cardboard boxes? Make it messy looking with the sloppy rug and have socks on the floor, or have like each bed surrounded by different people's "personal" belongings. Then the main room could be the check in/ common room with a check in counter in the corner and the box sofa around a big table with laptops on it or something, and then have a couch + tv (basic "common room" stuff). You could have a communal bathroom with multiple toilet "stalls" (made out of simple panels) and shower heads and sinks. Any left over rooms could be smaller bedrooms, maybe with only a double bed (privater room thats more expensive or something lol). You can also probably just google "hostels" (both European hostels or US hostels) and go to a specific hostel's website to see what its like/what they offer for different room ideas.

edit: you could also overall have a light wood color scheme with light blue, light orange, and light pink furniture that's beachy to go with your beach theme! Maybe you can have a stock room where you can rent out snorkeling gear, fishing rods, surfboards, etc! Or you can put that on your balcony or something.

Looks like a cool idea.
I’ve never heard much about apartments in the AC series and it sounds neat in my opinion.

Sounds cute to me! I'm making a bed + breakfast on mine and love the idea of an apartment complex with little studio apartments

A hotel sounds great! Cafes and stores are common, but an apartment complex sounds very unique, I think you should give it a go!

I like the idea of an apartment on the beach. It's very cute. I have been thinking about it myself but I am currently in the process of switching houses irl so doing a double move would be weird haha.
We are moving because my husband got a better job in North Iowa (I know it sounds weird but it's worth for us that is for sure). It is not that easy to move across country to the Midwest but it's a process like everything else. I think the hardest thing for me was to find it a house.
I wanted to live in Mason so I was mostly concentrating on adds that said mason city houses for sale. It took a while but after some hit and miss we found the perfect 4 bedroom for us. We are going to move permanently at the beginning of March. I am hopping that it will go well. Wish me luck
