Optimizing your island for bugs? Any guide?

Anyone has a good setup for capturing bugs on the island.
I'm talking about trees placement, removing flowers for less butterflies...

Also, can exotic trees attract those lucrative bugs too or they are island only?

I removed everything in the middle, everything. and the trees on the base shoreline heading straight down, so, only keeping all the palm trees on the side.

My island works perfectly fine, only catching bugs worth 8k+

Hey Dave, I kept 1x tree in the center & 2x palm trees on the left. If you see a 'lesser insect" like the fruit fly, scare it away to initiate the respawn cycle. Good luck!

Yes, do keep a tree in the center because giant stag beetles and rainbow stags can spawn there, both worth 10k. I then keep 4 palms on the left and 4 on the right. Beetles seem to spawn on the southernmost palm the most.
