Ordering Coffee and expansions in New Horizons (*ฅ́˘ฅ̀*)♡︎

Hello everyone! Let's talk over coffee ₍ᐢ⸝⸝› ̫ ‹⸝⸝ᐢ₎♡

In New Leaf, you can order only the following:

✧︎Blue Mountain (my personal fave)
✧︎Mocha
✧︎Kilimanjaro
✧︎Blend (sometimes you just have to have the infamous blend!)

Then, you can customise your choice a little further by adding a small to a lot of milk and 1-3 sugars...
Personally I have a little milk with no sugar - you can comment your preference below!

So the reason I'm posting this is because I really, really hope they expand on this! There's so much to add! And that includes using different milks (we could use milks made from fruits on the island!)
and not just pigeon haha ⁽⁽٩(๑˃̶͈̀ ᗨ ˂̶͈́)۶⁾⁾
There could be:

✧︎Bubble Tea
✧︎Hibiscus Tea
✧︎Green/Macha Tea
✧︎Iced Tea
✧︎Iced Coffee

So there are many things they could add - even desserts!

For example:

✧︎Smoothies
✧︎Ice Cream
✧︎Shaved Ice
✧︎Pastries
✧︎Cakes
✧︎Chocolates

I'm not sure if we would have PWPs or quite possibly, we might have a separate shop for this?
We might get to have a restaurant or bakery?
That would require staff and that would mean either a new NPC/s or using ones we have or:
Expanding the Roost to accommodate the new things which would be a new experience for us since we've always expanded Tom Nooks business!
If we were able to expand every shop, that would make the game so much more interesting and enjoyable!

I haven't been playing New Leaf as much as I used to, but I think my favorite blend was 3 spoonfuls of sugar and lots of milk. I'm a coffee person, so I too would also love if they expanded on the idea and added more options. bubble tea, green tea, chai tea, hot cocoa, egg nog (for winter), cream soda, mocha, latte, iced coffee (my preference), and other choices I'm forgetting. Would be nice if you could also order some desserts to go with it and you can take pictures of each of your items. I doubt it'll happen, but it's a nice little idea, I think.

Coffee these days isn't even coffee. It's garbage.

I don't think it should be in the game since we're meant to be a ten year old kid.

Why not add some scotch to the coffee and make it irish if you want to go the whole hog.

It is always fun switching them around in my kitchen area.

It would be in fact a stunning progress in the Animal Crossing history if The Roost would offer something else besides coffee, like a glass of water for those who don't like or can't drink coffee or alternative a cup of milk.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if Brewster would still only offer coffee, maybe with the addition of non-coffee drinks like water and milk, as I don't need something like desserts or bubble tea at all (not a fan of this IRL). Otherwise, I guess a restaurant or bakery would become it's own thing without combining it with The Roost, as I think that Brewster is more like that kind of character who prefers to run his own business without sharing it with someone else. At least that's my impression of him and I would honestly like it more if it stays on it's own.

One thing I would like to see however is that The Roost becoming part of the museum again, like it was in Wild World/City Folk. I like it a lot how it was back then, since the atmosphere was kind of charming. But I guess it will be it's own building again.

i would love for there to be more drinks then just coffee, such as tea and hot chocolate. Since it is mesnt to be an island, smoothies and juice int he warmer seasons would be lovely. I would love to see brewster get a bigger role and have more dialgue, as he is my favourite npc and he dserves only the best.

Yes! I'd love for them to expand the Cafe to not just serve coffee. There's so much potential for different things that the cafe could serve, it'd be cool to see them make it bigger. A place that sells food would be nice too, as they could make it that food you way at the cafe increases your energy by more than just one, like fruit does.

I liked that too! I'd go say Hi to Blathers and Celeste (pretend to ask them to join me for some Roost coffee) and then make my way downstairs smelling the roasted beans and feeling excited for what coffee I was going to recieve today! ( *? ??*)
Yeah I do kinda get that loner vibe from Brewster except him letting KK have the floor on Saturdays. I hope that KK can play at more than one venue this time! (? ꈊ ?)✧︎˖?ｵﾎｯ!
I agree and think a separate patisserie would be lovely too! In HH you can make a bakery if I'm remembering correctly ( ꇐ₃ꇐ )

I agree! He definitely needs a bigger role! It would be nice to see him getting some fresh air every now and again! He could probably have one of his gyroids take over while he's on a break - although, I don't think they'd get our orders right (((๑˃̶͈̀◡︎˂̶͈́๑))) haha

Ooo starts making me think that our energy would rely on 'quality ingredients' like 'quality beans' too!
We may have to get things moving to obtain higher quality beans for more energy! (๑?o?๑)
Thinking about it though, having separate venues with food and desserts would be so lovely! New places to go to and hang out with villagers and friends ʕ'⁻̫ '⌯︎ʔ༅͙̥̇

Maybe Brewster could also have different seasonal drinks, cookies and cakes? It would be interesting to see cookies, as I don't think they were in the last game at all, at least, I have not seen any. My mom and I bake sugar cookies during Christmas, so that would be one of the seasonal ideas for Brewster to have in his caf?. If I ever do play with some others on here, having this kind of option to go to everyday would be neat. Just a great place to hang out and order some food.

Also, just adding this one last thing here. If they do upgrade Brewster's, please let us buy as much as we want everyday and not this "just one thing once a day idea." I want to order as much food as I want and be able to mix up what I buy and order.

Definitely! Maybe you could only order from Brewster's special menu once a day but could order other things from the normal menu during the rest of the day! It would make much more sense to be able to order more than once since we will suffer from energy depletion and need to replenish our energy to move forward in the game ٩(๑˃̌ۿ˂̌๑)۶

I love this idea! I don't drink coffee, but I'm all for the tea options. I don't want to end up with some kind of health or stamina bar though, so it would have to be purely cosmetic like the fruit in NL for me to like it.
