i only have acnh and minecraft (which i didnt enjoy) as switch games...any others you guys recommend?

i definitely wanna get pokemon sword or shield (is either one better?)

Sword and Shield are identical. They have slight variations in the creatures you can get in-game...so, do some research and decide which ones out of the exclusives you like more. Really, that's up to you. Core gameplay is the same.

As for other suggestions...the Switch is bursting with awesome games. Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion, Link's Awakening, Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Mario Maker 2, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, etc...not to mention a massive list of third party non-exclusives, remakes, ports from older systems, etc. I could sit here for an entire afternoon and recommend non-exclusive games.

A good idea is to check out the topic "Most played Switch games"...the lists people posted there should give you a good idea of what is worth playing, and what people have invested time into playing.

I looked a lil into the differences between sword and shield, and i think I wanna go with shield

I’ve just got Mario Odyssey and it’s pretty nostalgic reminds me of Mario 64 {pretty late to the Mario Odyssey party but tbh I was late to the Nintendo switch party ~ only bought one for Animal Crossing}

What kind of games do you like? I can probably name you a bunch.

My favorites are Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Mario Odyssey and Zelda: BotW but there are tons of good ones from this gen AND last gen because the Switch has become the go-to last-gen port system of choice. You can get Resident Evil 4-6 with the triple pack for instance.
