Other Ways to find Dream Addresses?

So with custom designs, you can enter information into the search and find 100 pages at a time of option.

When my switch was stolen back in October, I lost my island, but I know my uploaded dream address is still out there somewhere.I found all my old designs, but I really wish there was a way to find it other than ‘surprise me’. I wish you could search island names, or input various categories for your island (such as ‘nature’ or ‘city’, so that you can search for these as well when looking for dream addresses to visit.

First of all, does anyone know of any other ways to find a dream address other than the 1 in a million ‘surprise me’ chance?

Secondly, does anyone else want something like this? Or is that just me?

If you never manually added it to anywhere then as far as I'm aware there is no longer a way for you to get it.

I can see why you would want a feature like this but with the custom designs, there is a reason for a search function. Searching for islands with specific names just seems a little aimless as a feature.

I would love for them to add a way for you to find islands with specific villagers on though so you can check them out before going on hunts for them.
Probably a bit too out there to be added as well but hey ho haha

Your dream address would be saved in the Nintendo Online Nooklink App. Unless you've linked a new town since or never linked one to begin with

When you use the custom design portal you can search for keywords and any design containing that word will pop up so it results in 100s of pages. They’re asking why DA Suite can’t be the same way. In NL you could enter in keywords in the DA Suite and towns with that keyword in the name would show up.

also i strongly agree, i would love an option to sort by style/aesthetic or by name. i'm always interested to see what other people with my island name (windfall) do in terms of designs/villagers/style/etc. i would honestly use the island name search way more than the 'surprise me' option tbh

Have you enabled Nook Link on your new island? That could be the reason the old one is still there. Glad to hear my advice was able to help you.

That’s what I was thinking! It would just be nice to be able to view islands attributed to certain aesthetics or names and references, just so that you can explore multiple islands under than name and see what you like, get ideas, and just appreciate everyone’s unique take on something!

So I deleted the app when I lost the game to save space on my phone, I redownloaded it and naturally it asked me to login, and because my login user page is basically the same, it automatically linked me to my new island. It showed my new island passport, photo etc, but it DID have a dream address listed below and I haven’t uploaded a dream address yet with my new island. So it was either the old one, or you’re automatically assigned one even if it’s not an island you’ve uploaded yet which I figured was unlikely. And low and behold, it was my old island, which has been crazy helpful to use as a reference point for rebuilding a bunch of features I didn’t really want to lose!

I really can’t thank you enough!!
