Pascal/Mermaid diy glitch

That's what I am trying to report back here, in fact. I will monitor it maybe for a month before this can become "truth."

I've had pearls except for three occasions, and I've found Pascal every day since he was added.

I don't have any of the mermaid items crafted, so can only assume I'm having bad luck, but it's pretty annoying.

i remember posting about this, i already forgot about it and i should have bumped it. i actually had a problem getting DIY's of items, but i was able to complete it once i got the gist of it, and turn it to my advantage. the good thing about this for me is that i don't really bother with duplicate DIY's, so giving the DIY's i got from my second character and crafting it then storing to their inventory (therefore being cataloged to the 2nd character) made it easier for me to complete the DIY's for myself.

I got a total of 15 or so pearls from him, one dress and shoes, and only a few recipes. I gave up and bought everything online because it was so frustrating to spend 30 mins searching for a scallop to get yet another pearl

i think its just bad rng lol. i got a mermaid diy the first day of the update and then the next i got another, and now i havent gotten a diy since.... only pearls and clothes. its probably just bad luck tbh

My main has received every DIY and dress, but not pink shoes or the tiara.

the only diys i've gotten are the mermaid bed and screen, as well as the mermaid dress. every other time i've gotten pearls. i don't remember when i got the dress but it was a while ago. :/

Huh that’s weird. I haven’t crafted anything yet nor gotten any crafted diys from others. Hopefully they’ll fix it if they haven’t already!

I got about 10 pearls in a row before today, but today I got the mermaid bed DIY, so it's probably just bad odds combined with bad luck and not a glitch. Still, it sucks that the DIY / clothing probability is apparently so low since you can find pearls in the ocean but you can only get the DIYs from Pascal.
