Pokémon Penalties for exploits

Nintendo is actually starting to crack down on those who use hacks and exploits. The following video doesn't detail how to hack. A dude is just reading a switch news blurb. The switch thing does specify the in game exploit of switching the system day to re-roll for a shiny in raid dens. This also means if you get something hacked in a trade and use it in an event match, no prize. Possibly exclusion from future events. Not sure what all he did to lose some prizes, just found the channel.

They should be doing this. Hacked Pokemon and ones gotten from the exploit aren't legit, so it's good that they're cracking down on the people abusing the exploit. However, it's not your fault if someone trades you a hacked Pokemon and you don't know it. Maybe they could check who the OT is, and punish whoever hacked it in?

Well, I don't how everything works in the latest Pok?mon games, but honestly hacks were one of a few ways to get all the Pok?mon you needed and while I agree they handled it bad on the GTS (letting you get punishment when someone uploaded a hack and the trade got disconnected). But yeah they should track down the hackers rather than those (un)fortunate users who happen to get them. While some hacks are easy to spot out some are really well made and pass the sensors.

While i do agree with you regarding hacks, hackers wouldn't need these prizes. I'd like to know why they aren't going after the source of the hacks. I've had a few bad experiences with annoying hackers.

Do you know where I can the link to where they posted the news about this at? I tried google searching for it, but I couldn't find it. I'm really happy and glad they are finally cracking down on the hackers! Also I just finished watching the entire video and I never knew they had an exploit for ranked battle!! It's a good thing they are doing something about it!! I wish I started ranked earlier to earn some of those items!! ; v ; <3

As for the den exploits, if they do end up banning or punishing people for doing that, I'm curious as how they will go about that. The den mons are legit but I heard they do have the same ID. It's a little confusing.

It really sucks for those players who got hacked mons and didn't know about it through trades! I hope there's some way they can fix that so they aren't punishing innocent players ; v ;

I didn't see a link in their description. I don't think it's going to ban the mon from the raid dens, just if you do the date exploit to get one. That's what it sounds like to me. What he is reading looks like it's from the switch news section.
