I know that this forum has cloning money and items illegeal. But even though everyone is aware of it it's a little shady that people (not pointing any fingers) giveaway and bid tensor millions of bells! On this forum by selling and trading and turnip selling the most I've bought a villager for was 3 million. That is a fraction of what people have on this site!
Some might say that they get a ton of money from selling rare villagers but where did the buyers get it?
Could someone please explain to me how people get this money other then cloning

I just made more bells than I've ever had in AC ever before by selling my TBT >.> I mean, I agree with you. There are definitely people out there duping. But I don't think it's super common. It's very easy to make bells by manipulating the stalk market, time traveling, and here with TBT.

Getting bells in AC NL is the easiest out of all the games because of turnips and island bugs.

Not saying that you're wrong. Those people may well be duping. But couldn't they also be farming them? I mean, specifically those two. I imagine it's not hard to rack up hundreds of island tokens and TT to find the items.

some people definitely dupe for more bells, but I don't think you have to with selling turnips and beetle hunting. It's easy to make bells in this game without duping, but it helps.

As someone who visited 100+ Club Tortimer islands and didn't find a single mermaid chair, I have to say that finding a specific item can be very, very difficult. What you're suggesting is possible, but I doubt many people would have the time and patience. And there are a lot of people who sell complete unorderable sets.

I sell sets but I just order them from the catalog. I once sold the egg set because I didn't like the aye and just wanted to play for the sake of bunny day!

I don't know about you guys, but I use an Action Replay and a special program I whipped up to edit my inventory. Not all of us dupe.

And no, I have not traded any of my hacked items on here.

I just sold Kid Cat and Erik for 20mil each. Where they got there money,I have no clue.
I used to sell Gracie items for 2x their price.

It's pretty obvious that people duplicate unorderable items like tools and region-exclusive items and sell 'em for TBT bells/ACNL bells on here, but there's always that proof we don't have to make 'em stop.

But yeah, I got my bells from saving up tips, selling villagers, and turnips once in a while.

It causes inflation, raising the prices for everything people are selling. It is equivalent to counterfeiting. The more money and items in supply, the less your money is worth. People who earn their money legitimately are harmed.
