Because deleting it through normal means would downgrade it to 1.0, which isn't what I want. My goal is to get rid of the Photo Channel entirely, again, simply because I have no use for it. =P

Uh...why? Even if you don't use it, it's not hurting anything... Why go to the trouble to remove it? Altering internal files like that is risky. You could end up bricking your Wii.

Not if you have BootMii/boot2 installed and the proper NAND backup. ;)
