Picking Out Player Characters

It has been a while, since I stopped playing and am coming back to both New Leaf and New Horizons. But now, I need help deciding on the various humans. In New Leaf, I am going to make 4 of the 5 major characters in Sailor Moon (Usagi, Ami, Rei, Mako). However, I want to pick 8 characters for New Horizons, due to having double the previous game. The goal for this island is the have my OC, Tsuki, as the island representative.

So far, I have picked out
Lucina - I want to include a house that represents a game that got me into a a series in general. And I feel Lucina will be the best to work with. I am giving her a house that looks like a Castle, and is filled with rooms fit for royalty. Dining Room, Training Room, Weapon Storage, etc.

Elsa - A seasons themed house. Due to being the 5th spirit (Ice Spirit), with the main room being Winter, backroom for Summer, Spring to the left and Fall on the right.
Upstairs is a room for Elsa, and the basement is for Anna.

Shulk - This one was honestly going to be Shulk or Fiora. I chose Shulk in the end, because I think he might be a bit easier to make. Anyway, the plan for his house is like a team base. With different rooms based on the whole cast of Xenoblade. I have a Lab for Shulk, a training room for Reyn, A Med Bay for Sharla, but I still need Fiora, Riki, and Melia. I was thinking about a childish playroom for Riki, given he acts a lot like a kid. Also, the idea for Dunban was too similar to the training room Reyn iis going to have

Luffy - I wanted a pirate themed house, so why NOT for Luffy. Plus I can give some of the crew their on themed rooms. So I am looking for ideas for the other 3. Any suggestions

Ladybug - A team base, focused on her and her allies. The main room will be a meeting room, while the rest will be based on the characters

I would do a RWBY character but most of the rooms would feel to similar to other characters. Even then I am having trouble to narrowing down the last 3 spots. Any ideas.

I don’t have any suggestions, but I can see you have some great ideas. I think placing character houses around your island is a great idea to make use of space. If you’re having trouble deciding what to do with some rooms, remember that you don’t have to upgrade their house fully. You could just have their home stopped at just an upstairs, or one side room. Even just a main room would be okay. Don’t feel obligated to have more rooms it stresses you out.

I also do my characters home uniquely different. I personally have 3;

- My home , which as soon as we have more wallpapers and floorings i will try to renovate a bit a think at least some rooms so they fit the vibe of the seasons more
- My asian home
- my mermaid with overly pinkish and baby blues colors and theme to it.

Their structure its kind of similar but not 100 % identical, over time and as more different furnitures are been extremely slowly been released i am trying to make them uniquely different but still trying to get that sense of home. So my approach is not to make public areas but just different definitions of an intimate space and of homes so to say.

I love the idea of a natural home theme ( the elsa idea ) and also liked the Pirate home idea ( luffy idea ) with the pirate you can go super creative and make a story out of your character plus we have a lots of items that could go with the theme.
