Pictures of the new HHD 3DS LL/XL

I just got my 3DS today! It's cute beyond words. My amiibo card was DJ KK, so totally pleased with that. The card are pretty flimsy; it's like a light card stock almost. Definitely going to want a protector sleeve or album for them. Stock of the cards seems to be pretty limited; the store where I picked up the 3DS had a limit of 2 packs per person, and another store I went had a limit of 1 per person, and they were almost out of stock just 20 minutes after opening. D:

From what you say, it sounds as though the cards could be bent quite easily, so we'll have to be careful if we mail them anywhere.

Also, looking at the pix of your new 3DSXL, it's quite different from the older 3DSXLs (I haven't looked very closely at the new ones yet) -- the cartridge slot is on the front of the machine! And is that the stylus at the front too?

Yeah, they're not exactly notebook paper, but it wouldn't take much at all to bend one in half, even by accident.

I think they're pretty different from the old ones! That's stylus in the front. The small new 3DS has the same layout in the front as well.

When I first saw the promo photos when it was announced...I was kinda meh.

As for the quality of the cards, my level of disappointment is massive. They had better get some better card stock! Shame.

It's always been the same size as a New Nintendo 3DS XL. It's basically just a recoloring (unless I read your post wrong) like all the other colors/designs.
She compared the console to the regular New Nintendo 3DS, so that may have been the source of confusion?

Yeah, in the pictures its a small new 3DS and XL. It's not any bigger than the old XL, just has a different layout!
