Been thinking a lot in the back of my mind today about the significance of today for my nation... along with all of my other thoughts.

I have to keep getting stronger... I'm nowhere near strong enough yet.

Dictionary definition of the day:
  • Star Trek Movie Curse - a long-running franchise that alternates between well-received and poorly-received installments.
The first example of this that I saw was Mario Kart franchise. According to TV tropes, fans of the Mario Kart games agreed that the even-numbered entries (aka console versions) were better than the odd-numbered entries. They say that Super Mario Kart was too dated, MK:SC has strange controls, MKDS had fans abusing glitches, MK7 was ruined by Honey Queen’s appearance, and MK Tour has microtransactions.

If I were to step into the Mario Kart game ranking topic, I’ll have to say that the even-numbered entries were better if you judged by the Nitro cups. MK64 had the best of the Rainbow Roads, as well as Yoshi Valley, Banshee Boardwalk, Kalamari Desert, and Toad’s Turnpike. MKDD had Dry Dry Desert (the one with the Sarlacc reference), Mushroom Bridge, Sherbet Land, and Toad City. MK Wii had Moonview Highway, Wario’s Gold Mine, Coconut Mall, and Maple Treeway. And MK8 had the best 16 Nitro tracks in the entire series (like Electrodrome, Bone-Dry Dunes, and Mario Kart Stadium).

I was talking to my mom about how 18th-century Western men’s clothing was quite revealing. Their shirts were tight. You saw their legs in the stockings. I mean, we saw all the goods, all the cake…especially when the rich ones posed to emphasize their bellies. Of course, women’s clothing hid their figures but cleavage was became a trend with the wealthy. People want to act like their ancestors were “proper” and “modest” even though one French royal mistress had her dresses tailored to show off her “favorite” breast. Idk I just thought that was interesting.

Something I was making on Minecraft. I think it came out great.

My laptop broke down about two weeks ago and I haven't been able to access TBT and so I needed to finally buy a new laptop
So, what did I miss?

You already know that the space theme has disappeared, and so did the space reactions and team name tags. Other than that, nothing major on this site happened.

The history of the 1993 live action Super Mario Bros. movie is extremely weird, yet fascinating. More interesting than the movie itself.

The constant script changes, scrapped ideas, and tensions behind the scenes is what always gets me.

(I recommend watching "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" documentary video by the Gaming Historian. Interesting watch.)

Was just going to say, with regards to old posts being cringeworthy, I don't really care all that much. My first posts on this site were a decade ago, when I was 16, until I left the site when I was 18 for several years. Yeah, I do admit I made a fair amount of cringeworthy posts during that time, but I also made a good number of friends too. I hardly even remember those posts and if someone brought it up now I'd probably just laugh.

What's more important to me are the friends I made not only back then, but since then... and how I changed as a person.

I don't know. When it comes down to it no one is really immune from making cringeworthy posts on the internet, but what is important is how you change and improve since that time. I am no longer anywhere near the person I was a decade ago.

I had my share of cringeworthy posts, but I do like to read past posts of mine and others for the fun of it. What I don’t read into are where I received a backlash from other members for my past behavior or for my political posts.

I may be a different person now, but I still have moments of being childish (like recently I threatened to stop selling collectibles forever if one of my collectibles don’t sell, showing my impatience). I also have made several promises that I broken. Like I said I won’t talk politics again. I still did. But I’m not going to start another political thread, even though the world is worse now than it was back when Trump was president (which is what makes me start threads like this).

someone tried to troll my strawpage by drawing a swastika and writing "cringe" but they drew the swastika wrong ajhsdkjkas 😭😭😭😭

I should be able to finish this book by tonight, or tomorrow morning the latest. Can't believe I'll be starting book #9 soon...have I really come so far?

So after three years of constantly downloading and deleting and redownloading Minecraft n my Switch, I FINALLY can access the Minecraft Store again. I’m really annoyed that I missed out on so many free items because of it.

I'm curious what the Nintendo direct will have this upcoming week? There is a rumor that there is one. With the next console leak that just happened and the simple reality of the holidays coming up, I'm just curious to hear what they have to talk about it or show.

I wouldn’t take a rumor seriously. If Nintendo announces a new direct, you’ll know that one is coming. Their direct announcements are not scheduled or predicted.

Oh yes! I think her name was Agnès Sorel. I remember seeing her painting in Art History, mostly.
Also, with the 18th-century men’s clothes…Empress Elizabeth of Russia used to have cross-dressing balls where she would dress in men’s clothing. Allegedly, she liked how she could show off her legs in the breeches and stockings. That must have been fun and more comfortable for a change.

Nintendo is apparently shutting down Mario Kart Tour. Well, kind of. They gave an in game announcement that after October 4th, they won't be adding any new content to the game, including any new tours. You can still play it, but they're basically setting up to shut it down. So I could see the game actually being shut down in about a year.

This would mean the game is following in the path of Dr. Mario World. So does this also mean that Pocket Camp is close to being shut down too?

my friend is annoyed that he has to go to Petco. i can't even imagine being annoyed about going to Petco. you can see birds, fish, lizards, guinea pigs/hamsters, and sometimes cats and dogs. i'd love to go to Petco right now actually.

the recent popularity of the stanley water tumbler reminds me of the hydro flask craze when i was in middle school.

True friendships last forever. When you’re a kid, you’ll make lots of friends, but as you get older, you’ll start losing touch with many. The ones you stick to are your true friends.
