so I stayed up late to dye my hair. the plan was to do half pastel pink and half periwinkle. in my head this looked awesome

but uhh

my hair did not lighten enough when I bleached it for the periwinkle to take well. I'm currently rocking half coral pink and half lichen green hair instead 😭

I... I've got some pink dye leftover and I'm gonna stay up even later to try to save this. pray for me y'all

update: I have just finished applying the pink dye and right now it looks like it might turn out kinda purple??? pLEASE i will accept any color that someone would willingly dye their hair

I'm invested. I'd like to know how this turns out.

I do recall seeing an old video of someone using an old Walmart plastic bag, and ending up with the logo on their head.

The pink dye saved me!!! 😭 It needs to dry some more so I'll have a more precise view of the colors later but it looks like I'm coming out of this with half pink and half dusty purple/mauve hair!! Even where it didn't take well it brought some warmth back so I AM FREE FROM THE GREY-GREEN. I can rest easy tonight

When is the Stardew Valley update coming to mobile? I wish ConcernedApe gave a solid date for when. I get why it would take a while, but I hope that it doesn’t take too long.
 
One of the comments above reminded me that yesterday I was looking at a photograph of someone's huge SNES game collection (complete with all of the original cardboard packaging!), and in it there was a Super Mario Bros game that I hadn't ever seen before. That game was...

I have an acquaintance who has been living in Japan since the 1990s (I think he was originally from the US), and he once said that living in Japan isn't necessarily the "wonderland" that many Westerners seem to naively think it is. According to him, many also struggle to properly assimilate into the culture, and once they're actually living there, reality hits them..... hard.

My acquaintance seems to have successfully made it in Japan though (he's fully fluent in the language and even has a family of his own!).
 
I like the peach tree argument in Kung Fu Panda. Oogway was telling Shifu that he can’t choose what fruit the tree grows or when it will grow fruit, but Shifu says that he can choose where to plant the tree and when to pick the peaches.

In the context of the movie, Oogway is saying that Po has been chosen as the mighty dragon warrior, but Shifu’s argument is implying that he does not want to train Po. He does eventually train him.

In real life, this argument has many applications. In general, you can’t control what others think or do, but you can decide whether or not you want to respect that.
 
Wondering how famous Strawberry Switchblade is in their home country of Scotland. Where I'm from, it's rare to meet anyone who knows of them.

It’s probably a good thing you’ve never heard of it. I never played it, but most people say that it sucks.
 
I wish there was a way to hide the 'what's happening'/the recommendation trends on Twitter. I only use the place to check in on some friends who refuse to go anywhere else and I hate seeing all of the stupid garbage and hate that trends. I understand why they don't let people just disable it, but I wish it was an option so I wouldn't have to see the twidiots horrible opinions and hate.
 
I would be mad that YouTube just gave me a thirst trap ad when I was trying to watch a perfectly normal video… but this is YouTube. I’m not surprised by this anymore.

But still, why is this allowed on the platform? This isn’t even the worst I’ve seen of this.

Just use some adblocks. I never see ads with Youtube when I have them on.
