I personally think Nintendo purposely put in the cloning thing to help some people, because they are trying to get more casual and don't want casual player to quit the games, they put this in so they don't get bored and can spend all they want.
And the ABD is worth 999mil, how do you expect to get that?
And it really isn't hacking, if Nintendo didn't put it in on purpose it's a glitch, you drop the items in a friends town, go talk to cooper, then press the home button over and over until the menu comes up then reset, then while it resets for you and you still have the items, to your friend it just shows them leaving normally and it saves, so then you both have the items.
Not hacking at all.

Whether it's actually "hacking" or not, it's still cheating. Exploiting a glitch in the game is considered cheating.
