I hate making threads all about me, but I need help. I'm extremely indecisive, so I'm having trouble choosing. Here are some of my ideas so far:

*Edit* My name will be Winnie if that helps. Not really any specific theme. Beachfront areas will have a lot of beachy stuff, there will probably be a "neighborhood area" a "shopping area" and certainly a forest with pine trees in the north.

Lumeria (lou merry uh)- I just made this one up, but I broke it down to give it meaning. "Lu" means light and "Meria" means "of the Sea". So basically to me Lumeria means "Light of the Sea"

Carmela (or Carmella)- Basically like the beach town in California called Carmel-by-the-Sea, but I just changed it up a little. I have fond memories of Carmel. It also means garden, and of course I will have a ton of flowers.

Kapalua- A resort in Hawaii apparently. The word means "arms embracing the Sea"

Asteria- Means star in Greek

Ellesmere- Idk, just like the sound of it

And here are some more generic ones I kinda like the sound of. Just worried they're too generic. Also, a couple are likely too long:

Lilycove
Storybrook
Hazelwood
Faraway Bay
Olympia Isle

Don't be worried something is generic. If you like it, its because it speaks to you. And with it being your island, no one is going to care as much as you, so always pick what YOU like most.

That being said, my favorites from your choices are-
Lumeria
Asteria
Hazelwood

So out of these the top 3 are Lumeria, Lilycove, and Asteria.

They all seem to give 3 different town theme vibes around them. I think my favourite would be Asteria but that's because I'd imagine a village full of things to do and little community areas;; :p

Carmela or Lilycove.

Carmela because you seem to have special memories that caused this name to be thought of.

Lilycove because it reminds me of Pokemon.

I really like Lumeria and the meaning behind it.

If you want to be inspired by Carmel, I wouldn't go with either of these options though. I'd say either just use the name as it is or be inspired by something in or about the town. Like maybe a street or something notable?

Lumeria, Lilycove, Carmela and Asteria are all super pretty!

i think my favourite is lumeria - winnie from lumeria just has a really nice ring to it c:

I personally like Winnie from Storybrook. Lumeria is nice as well.

I really like either Faraway Bay or Asteria.

I like Lumeria and Hazelwood. But for an island, I find Lumeria more fitting :)

They're all really cute! And like others have said, don't worry about being "generic", as long as you like the name that's all that matters :)

I think my personal favorites are Carmela and Storybrook!

Definitely Lumeria. There is background to that, if you aren't aware of that metaphysical legend you should read about it sometime. It's nice. And there are some variations to the story too, like there is with Atlantis.
I also like Hazelwood and Lilycove.

Are you referring to Lemuria by chance? That seems to be what comes up most when I search Lumeria. They look very similar, I almost thought it was the same word.

The only reference I can find for Lumeria is some kind of educational getaway resort on Maui.

Lumeria is a beautiful name!!!
I do like the other ones you picked too, but this stands out the most for me and the meaning you've chosen behind it, so beautiful ( ᵕᴗᵕ )*・☪︎?̩͙

Ah! you are right! They are different. yes I was thinking of that.

I like ?Carmela? it seems very cute and fitting for ?Winnie?. In the end, it?s whatever speaks most to you! :)

Carmela sounds lovely bc you have memories attached to it! Names that actually mean something to you are always the best in my opinion <3
