"Um, where are you two headed, anyway?" I asked, hoping that they'd let me stick around with them if we were going the same way.

 

[Blu Rose]

"I, personally, am headed towards Solaceon Town. It seems like a laid-back town, and there are ruins that greatly fascinate me," I explain, a little hopeful that Kiki and Andrew will want to tag along, then head forward without me once Solaceon comes up.

 

[Bread Kennedys]

I was listening to music on my Poketch when I overheard Petal say something. "I was kinda headed for Eterna City, but whatever, I'll tag along." I then put my earphones back on.

 

[Blu Rose]

I whispered to Kiki, "Okay, Ben's newfangled gadgets thing applies to him!" I pull away from her ear, a smile on my face.

I laughed, then said, "I'll come with you guys for a while then"

"Hm? Did I hear my name?"

"Um, by the way, I think there is a team galactic building in Eterna City.... so we'll end up running into them there, and if you guys have fought them before, they probably won't be happy at you showing up again..."

 

[Blu Rose]

"Ooh! I wouldn't worry; they are all bark and no bite," I said, remembering the Galactic member's taunting.

 

[TheCreeperHugz]

"Oh, so they shouldn't be much of a problem then. Anyway, should we get going, rather than just standing around here?"

 

[Blu Rose]

"Sure!" I answer, marching, tripping, getting back up, then continuing.

I remembered what Ben had said, now needing to reply to it.
"Why would you have heard your name, Ben?"

Wow, everyone is tripping today...
"Great, will he be tagging along too?" I muttered to myself, quiet enough that no one else could hear.

"A question like that would have a more accurate answer if you answered it yourself."

"Petal, I think he's referring to when you mentioned the newfangled gadgets thing. I can't think of any other reason he'd have heard his name," I told her. "Though if he is, he must have incredible hearing, since you said that so quietly..."

Since everyone was just talking to Ben, I took off my earphones and got out my 3DS. I started playing Ocarina of Time 3D to pass the time.

Haha, more 'newfangled gadgets' I thought as I looked behind me to see Andrew now with a 3DS in his hands.

I noticed some kid playing some game of some sort. I pointed to him. "I rest my case." I grinned.

"Yes, but we're not all like that," I told him, getting a little annoyed with Ben.

"Then why does such a stereotype exist? A stereotype would not have been created should there not have been a large majority of the population playing with these trinkets."

It took me a minute to think of an adequate response.
After a while, I said, "Just because there are a lot of young people who use modern technological devices, that does not mean to say that every teenager of this age is constantly glued to them. Out of the four people here, only one is actually using said devices."
Wow, that may have been the nerdiest sentence I have ever said outside of school...

"Just so you know, guy, the Pokedex and Pokeballs are new-fangled gadgets, too. And plus, nerds like you LOVE technology, so you're being a hypocrite here." I say as I un-pause the game and give Growlithe a few of Pikachu's Oran Berries. "Pika Pika!" Pikachu yells angrily. "Sorry Pikachu, but Geodude and Growlithe have to eat too, y'know."
