It's been teased for a while but Niantic has officially announced that the level cap will be increasing in Pokemon Go starting at the end of this month. Here's the official page for details: https://pokemongolive.com/post/gobeyond-2020

I personally reached level 40 back in the summer during Go Fest, so I look forward to the new challenges coming along with the new levels and I appreciate them being more than just an exp grind.

What do you think think of the new level 50 cap?

I am very excited by level increase as well as all the other new changes on the way, seasons in particular sound really interesting!

I must admit I'm only on level 35, so will not get to experience the new levelling missions yet, but I'm sure I will get there at some point. Something else to look forward to!

I’ve been slowly grinding my way up to 41, because of overnights I don’t have much time to do the required amounts of raids needed to progress sadly. Looking forward to eventually getting to 50, the challenges seem fun so far.

I recently reached level 41 (shortly before the new year). I've been enjoying the extra little challenges thrown in so far. Definitely a lot more interesting than just a straight exp grind.
