So, after gaining permission from Hikari, I decided I'd make this.
Thus, I present to you, the Pok?mon Hoenn Nuzlocke Roleplay!
For all of you that don't know what a Nuzlocke is, a Nuzlocke is where any Pok?mon that faints, dies, and can not be used anymore. It is a generally harder way of playing these games, and I've done a few myself...
Anyways, the general rules are, according to Bulbapedia:
"The most basic Nuzlocke rules, as they were first introduced, are as follows:
Any Pok?mon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.
The player may only catch the first Pok?mon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pok?mon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. If the first encounter in the area is a Double Battle in dark grass, the player may choose which of the two Pok?mon they would like to catch.
While not exactly a definite rule, the general consensus is that players must also nickname all of their Pok?mon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
Also not a definite rule, but the general consensus is that a black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pok?mon left in the PC.
Strongly implied, though not explicitly mentioned in the comic, is the stipulation that the player can use only Pok?mon they have captured themself, meaning traded Pok?mon, mystery gifts, etc., are prohibited. Trading and retrading the same Pok?mon (for the purpose of evolving a Graveler, for example) is something of a gray area, and may fall under optional rules. As of White: Hard-Mode Episode 3, it is implied that the player can accept Pok?mon that are received freely from NPCs.
Also strongly implied is a prohibition against voluntarily resetting and reloading the game when things go wrong. Being able to do so would render all of the other rules pointless."
For all of you people that use tl;dr as an excuse for not reading things, the rules are as follows:
Any Pok?mon that faints is considered dead, and must be released (we'll just consider these dead)
A person may only catch the first Pok?mon in each area, and absolutely nothing else.
You must nickname all of your Pok?mon.
A black/white out is considered a game over.
You may only use Pok?mon you have caught yourself.
