However, a freak force forces my hand over to TREECKO, then forced me to grab it and send it out.
Great. A Green Tree Gecko.
HOW WILL THIS HELP ME
There wasn't anything like CYNDAQUIL here, oh no, it just had to be a tree gecko.
I end up fighting off the... black dog thing in three hits, apparently a POOCHYENA, with my newly acquired Green Tree Gecko.
Then the guy in the labcoat introduces himself as PROFESSOR BIRCH. Why does he have the last name of a tree, too? First ELM, then I met OAK back in GOLDENROD with his radio show, and now BIRCH.
Oh well.
He then tells me he owns the HUGE POKéMON LAB in LITTLEROOT TOWN. Well. Let's see how horrible it is compared to ELM's POKéMON LAB.
What? PROFESSOR BIRCH has magical transporting powers? Who else had magical transporting powers...?
He rambles on and on about how my father has told him such and such about me, and I have some sort of his blood in me. Yeah, whatever, why am I here?
Yippee. I get the Green Tree Gecko.
"While you're at it, why not give a name to that TREECKO?"
I think long and hard about this before deciding.
KFC sounds nice. That'll be fine and dandy.
BIRCH wants me to go meet his kid, but when I say no, he insists, so I say no again. He insists yet again, so I say yes. He then lets me go.
I walk outside of this LABORATORY into LITTLEROOT TOWN. I now have a sense of freedom to go outside of the town. So I do, and run into a LEVEL 2 POOCHYENA.
Funny, the exact same thing happened this time as it did last time, and so I gained a little EXP. over it.
I then run into a ZIGZAGOON, probably the equivalent to HOENN as SENTRET is to JOHTO.
After an ORAN BERRY heal, KFC finally manages to defeat the thing, and it then levels up.
It learns ABSORB. A healing move, if I remember correctly.
I walk into OLDALE TOWN, and see a clerk standing next to a house.
He works at the local POKéMON MART, and gives me a free Promotional POTION.
Yay. 20 HP for the win.
I go and heal my POKéMON at the local POKéMON CENTER, ready to go onto ROUTE 103, even though I can't SURF yet, before moving on to ROUTE 104.
At least, that's what it says on the TOWN MAP inside the POKéMON CENTER.
I walk out of the CENTER and head north, like the TOWN MAP said ROUTE 103 was directionally.
I meet May at the very tip of the ROUTE, studying the WILD POKéMON that appear on this ROUTE. She's more interested in field work than battling? What a waste.
She quickly gets all angry at me, challenging me to a battle moments after I said "Hi."
I just go along with her challenge, and I’m into a battle with MAY. Apparently, she’s still ideal with her “friendship” with all POKéMON. Yet she battles with them…
So the battle starts.
She sends out a Torchic.
I POUND it to death with KFC, thus winning the battle.
And KFC levels up to level 7.
So she tells me we need to go back to LITTLEROOT TOWN, and walks off. Just like that. She might as well have added "kthxbye" on her way back south.
I jump over the ledge where she also jumped over, and walk back down into OLDALE TOWN.
THE FLOWERS THOUGH
I continue walking in a straight line.
MAY stops me at the city boundary, and continues leading me back to LITTLEROOT TOWN.
She walked away again, jumping over another ledge. She didn't seem like she was crying. Shouldn't she be, though? She just lost to me. Granted, I've only been a trainer for a little bit since JOHTO.
After walking through LITTLEROOT TOWN, I enter the POKéMON LABORATORY again.
PROF. BIRCH gives me a "warm welcome," stating that I also beat her excellently on my first try. "MAY has an extensive history as a TRAINER already."
Riiiiiight.
He gives me a POKéDEX, then explaining what it is.
MAY tells me that she has a POKéDEX too, and gives me what looks like a single POKé BALL, but in reality is one that multiplies into five when I put it into my conveniently-placed backpack I never noticed before.
END DAY 2.
So what am I doing right? Wrong? Should I make it seem more from my perspective as a player of the game or from the perspective of the character inside the game?
Which POKéMON should I try to catch out of the ones on Route 102-104? What should I name them?
Should I put more effort into my gif making?
Everyone can suggest one name and one Pokémon catchable on those Routes, and then www.random.org will choose which three I'll catch, and then what I'll name them.
I'll try to at least catch one Pokémon per Route/area that can have Pokémon.
