So I play a lot of different kind of pokemon games. I play pokemon red/blue/green, I play gold/silver/crystal, I play ORAS, I play rumble, I even play the trading card games even though I do not have a very good deck yet. Or as some people call it, "No Meta" deck. However, I was going through my library of pictures and screenshot and I remember this one Pok?mon card battle I had where I depended on a Miltank. Yes, you heard me right. A Miltank!! Miltank in Pok?mon cards are usually used as a way to buy time in pokemon TCG unless you have a Stage 2 Pok?mon evolution in the field (Stage 2 is when they reach the highest evolution, regardless of them having a mega or not as Mega-evolved pok?mon has to be with an EX pok?mon). So... here is a screenshot of the game I won that I still don't know how he did not get the energy he needed.
The thing that made me worry first of all is that he had Mewtwo EX cards and I believe the Kangashkan EX card worried me a lot. Becase MegaMewtwo Y and MegaKangashkan in pok?mon cards? They have such a high damage. Especially Mewtwo. One of the MegaMewtwo, I believe it was the Y one, has this one attack that is powerful and broken to the point he heals all the damage you had done to the Mewtwo and pass it to its opponent's active pok?mon, in other words, the one battling. So imagine if a pok?mon has 200 HP and has 180 damage counters. The moment he prepares said attack, his MegaMewtwo heals while it one-shots you or possibly two-shot you if it has more than 180 HP.
But this is where the thing gets interesting. I defeated the Mewtwo he was setting up. With a MILTANK!! Because Miltank can be a little bit broken. As you can see, in the bench, I have a Metagross, a Stage 2 pok?mon. Miltank's first attack only cost one energy. And it's ability allows him to do 70 more damage if there is a Stage 2 pok?mon on your side of the field in play. So Miltank's first attack with one energy does 10 damage plus a Stage 2 pok?mon in the bench is an additional 70, making it 80 damage. The moment my Miltank defeated Mewtwo, I was wondering why he was not preparing energies in his hand. And then it hits me, either he has little amount of energy cards in the deck, or he does not have trainer cards that allows him search for energies. Energies plays a valuable part in the game. No energy, no attacks. No attacks, no damage.
But I was still lucky this happens to me. Like I never really surrender in any of my games and I never expected a Miltank to defeat Mewtwo EX cards. I was very lucky that day.
