Honestly, the "I like PreShcoolers" one weirds me out the most. I don't even know why that's in a game that's soooo kid friendly.

I actually only need 2 Ghost Pokemon and then my living Ghost Dex will be done! I just need to trade Pumpkaboo to evolve it to Gourgeist and Dusclops to evolve it to Dusknoir.
i have about 3 boxes full of pokemon i don't want or need.
( about 18 of these are pokemon with either 5 or 6 perfect IV's for if you're into competitive online play )

yes, you indeed have to be.
10 in the regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Kalos.
11 in the Alola region.
around 15 in the Unova region.
the tubers, campers, preschoolers, other <10 year olds are not trainers ( that travel ) but do have pokemon they battle with.
you have to be the previously mentioned age to be able to challange gym leaders, the pokemon league, and the E4.

there are a lot of 5 year olds who play this game and not seeing characters around your age in a kids game feels kinda weird.
( to make 5 year olds feel included into the pokemon world, instead of them wondering why there's nobody their age in the game )

Wow! That's amazing! UM is my first Pokemon game so I don't have spare Pokemon. Well, I have about 10 I keep on hand for trades but that's about it.
I haven't tried the competitive aspect of Pokemon yet. I've still got a TON to learn about the basics. (I'm embarrassed to say don't even know what IV's are. Or EVs actually.) Are there any Pokemon you're looking for? I might have gotten lucky and traded for one you might need. Thank you!

I had no clue there were actual in game age limits! That's sort of cool! I don't mind battling the preschoolers. I think they're kind of cute. It's just that one saying in the Plaza about preschoolers that weirds me out. For a game that so many young kids play I think it's sort of an odd choice to have in there.

I like that there are different age groups in UM - especially since I'm in the um... "veteran"/"evil boss" age group. For me it make sit more interesting. Although I'm a new person just getting into Pokemon so maybe if you've been playing for years certain groups might start to get on your nerves.

i only own gen 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 games, and none of the gen 7 ( sun/moon/ultra sun/ultra moon )
i can teach you on IV's and EV's if you want, it's actually quite easy.

it than always says, that Ash is now 10 and allowed to travel the pokemon world, to discover new pokemon, make new friends, battles new gym leaders, and have a whole new adventure, yada-yada-yada.

there have been different age groups since gen 1, there are only more different age groups now ( in gen 7, on the 3DS ) than there were ( in gen 1, on the gameboy ) due to hardware limitations that the gameboy had.
most people playing pokemon are like 18+
i'm 25 ( 26, this July ) and that is just a bit younger than Cyrus ( team Galactic boss )
he is 27 years old.
the veterans just look older ( more like in the range of 30/50 )

Still kinda creepy you can enter like i love pre-schoolers/lasses *squirm squirm* in gen 7 yet they removed the ability to enter what you want which honestly most of the time was better in xyoras lol.

I have Y but I haven't started playing it yet. I started playing Yo-Kai Watch 2 Psychic Specters. I'm thinking of starting Y afterwards.
I'd love at least an "idiot's guide" explaination of what they are & what they do. I don't think I'm ready to try breeding for them or battling yet though. I'm still too much of a noob.
I haven't watched Pokemon since my son watched the very first cartoon here in the US. The one with Misty & Brock. I think it's great that they gave a real thought out reason why Ash could travel to new regions. It makes it more real... well, you know what I mean.
That makes sense that most players are 18+. You've all grown up watching & playing Pokemon. I like that there are plenty of adults who play. Yeah, I am firmly in the veterans age group. I'm more towards the high end too. :s

I agree. I don't mind the characters being in the game - just that creepy phrase. I'd like to be able to enter my own message. So many of the options don't apply to me.

^Yeah I hate how they removed that. Like people will always abuse that function by adding sexual/bad words etc. and I don't think it helps removing writing your own with pre-set **** no one can appeal to sigh. Gen 6 I'm glad I have you Y.

in my alpha sapphire i try to get 5 trainers for my secret base to have 3 blissey as their pokemon s training ( in levels ) will be easier.
i like the secret base mechanic and that you can write your own messages like so:
as my team slogan i have ''Enter the dragon''
as my team's name i have ''Dragon's head''
as my happy phrase i have ''Yatta !!!'' ( Japanese for hooray )
and as when people beat me it says ''Incredible...''
as i see myself as a bit of a unofficial 9th gym leader ( or secret gym leader if you will )
a bit of a stoic, silent type ( much like Red on top of Mt. Silver in gold, silver, crystal, heartgold and soulsilver )
