It's really for both. Girls would like the game more because it is about little animals. But both can like it beause you can be a boy or a girl and chat with friends.

I like playing COD 5 and games like that which involves shooting, but that doesn't stop me playing Animal Crossing. I like fast tempo games as well as relaxing games. It's not like people have to like one or the other.

Girls I'm sure, because of it's cutesy atmosphere. But it's something both genders can like.

For girls the game atmosphere is probably more of "Oooh! Fishing looks fun!" That's based off how my sister plays the game. If all guys who play the game are like me, it's more like "Must... get... Ceolocanth... or my life... is incomplete..."
