Popular Colors!

[Halloqueen]

For a long while, probably like two decades, purple has been my favorite color. However, in the past...I don't know, three or four years maybe, orange has been vying for that spot. I don't feel like orange has ever really fully overtaken purple though, or if it ever does then it just alternates back and forth and hasn't been a constantly maintained thing.

In third, fourth, and fifth are pink, black, and green respectively.

I love white so much it's almost like a personality trait
It's a neutral blank color and it just looks so refreshing
but seriously, I need to stop getting everything I own in white

Hmm, yea I guess no one likes brown best. It does have its place for furniture, clothing and other things.

My favorite colors are green and purple. I love all shades of each...they are so pretty, soothing, and oddly versatile.

I also love purple and black together. I loved it so much I had purple and black decorations on my sixteenth birthday lol.

Blue is my favorite color. I love all shades of it, but generally I prefer the deeper jewel tones. I'm not really a pastel person.

A close second is purple. Blue and purple are beautiful together and periwinkle is lovely. My home office is painted periwinkle. I find blues and purples to be very calm, relaxing colors.

In third is green, mainly deep hunter green.

Fourth goes to red, but not too bright. More of a garnet shade rather than ruby.

I also love black and greys.

It's so fascinating how popular purple is! I was not expecting such a large percentage..

To me, blue makes sense as most popular because it is a primary and obviously the sky and water. So we see it often and find it visually appealing. It seems to be the most popular color over-all.
Purple tho, is more rare to the eye. It was actually the most hard to aquire dye back in ancient times, it was from a shell or something... Yet it has hints of blue!

I would think red should be 3rd most popular, right? Blue, purple, then red..
Or even I would have thought green was second most popular. Since it is another most common color that we see in nature..

Red has always been my favorite color. I tend to gravitate towards darker shades of red, like this.

Yeahhh I love pink. I like rose gold and baby pink! They're my favorite colors.
Second favorite is surprisingly turquoise, I'm happy it's on there! I've always loved blue that was just a tinge of green-ish, and I feel turquoise is exactly that.

Is it weird that I don’t have a favorite color? My favorite color seems to change every couple of years.

I voted for black, grey and blue. I really like black furniture and I’ve painted my new house unit with shades of grey. My previous house I had also painted in shades of grey. I also voted blue because lately, I’ve been buying a lot of blue things and the color is resonating with me. I want to paint one of my rooms blue, and I’ve been also searching for blue flowers to plant around my future garden. I’ve been thinking of plumbago, blueberries, forget me nots, bluebells?

Here is a thought;
Should Black, Grey and White even be considered as colors? Aren't they shades that when added to a color it then creates a hue of that color, or simply another version. I never thought of shades as colors until a long debate that was leaning towards Black, Grey and White are visual colors that can be on their own. Which proves they are stand alone colors as well, not only shades.

I actually did get some forget me not seeds and ended up planting them on Saturday. I left them to germinate the day before and it didn’t look too promising, but I’m still really hoping they grow!

As far as colors go, if there’s a Crayon for it, then I consider it a color
