I just wandered into her house then she says I want to give you this bamboo shoot!

So it looks like you can get fruit earlier than meant to be, as she also gave me a persimmon!

One of my villagers gave me a persimmon because I delivered something. I had no idea bamboo shoots were in the game or that they and persimmons had to be unlocked.

I like selling the bamboo shoots but man are the plants annoying! Shoots keep springing up where bamboo CLEARLY can't even grow, so if I don't dig them up in time, they grow the first day and then die. What a waste...

That's really cool! Congratulations. I have yet to get my hands on any bamboo, although I have gotten foreign fruit for performing tasks for the villagers. However, some exceptionally rare fruits, such as durians and persimmons, I had to obtain from the island tours.
