Possible new encyclopedia additions? (° ꈊ °)✧︎˖°ｵﾎｯ!

Dumbo octopus would be such a cute addition. I like the idea of catching leeches, too, or leeches attaching themselves to you if you go for a swim and then your character making a shocked face when they see themselves with a leech.

I'd list the blob fish, but it'd be dead, logically, since it's a deep sea creature. It'd be cool if you could somehow go deep sea fishing and catch/display deep sea fishes unharmed. I'd like to be able to catch lizards and snakes, too, though I wouldn't in real life.

I'm not sure if New Leaf had caterpillars, somce I mever finished my bug encyclopedia (I don't think it did), but I'd like if there were an option to catch caterpillars, raise them into butterflies and then either donate them to the museum, release them or display them in your home.

If Horizons had the option to catch worms or caterpillars, I'd like to see this one first:

I could be wrong, but I believe a few of the creatures we dove for were deep sea. So blob fish might still work.

Yeah, you're right - the football fish is one deep sea fish I can remember (though you had to fish for one, not dive). Also, I keep forgetting that applying logic to a game where a wee, little person can catch a whale shark on a fishing rod is quite silly. :p

Yay, blobfish is seeming more possible now!

Those are all amazing ideas! What if they added in different types of squids or octopuses, maybe even a cuttlefish to add to the deep sea creatures collection?

It would also be interesting to see a Buried Creatures section added to the encyclopedia since you can now dig things up from the beach.
 
New bugs and fish to catch will be exciting and a great way to keep the series fresh with ideas. I can't wait to see what they look like in game.

I am hoping for a lot more bugs and fish to catch. Especially the diving creatures. There really wasn?t that many when compared to the other categories.
 
I'm really hoping for more diving creatures! More butterflies would be cute and fish who can be found in the pond! Also excited for species who appear onpy under rare circumstances (kinda like the coelacanth only appears when it rains)

im sorry the entomologist in me is gonna pop out but "poodle moth"s aren't a thing, they're silkworm moths. they were falsely called poodle moths because a fake felt model became popular on the internet. i'm sure a lot of people have seen this guy:

anyway i would love to see how they'd be rendered in-game, they're pretty cute. i'd also love to see rosy maple moths.

Oh ok so they still exist but are called Silk Worm Moths? Hehe we don't get them here in the UK, just big velvety ones but all moths sooo cuuute ♡♡♡

I hope they add a ton of new editions to the bug and fish categories!!! especially now that we have such a gorgeous museum :D
