Possible serious bug with Able Sisters

Hi There,

I've been playing the game since launch but I seem to have hit an impasse with talking to Sable that I do not understand.

I've been speaking to her every day, in the usual manner, until it got to a point where she asked if I liked customising furniture and said she had a new patterned fabric for me to try out.

She then gives me what looks like a paper bag and... nothing. As far as I can discover there's nothing in my inventory, no new patterns on my smartphone, and no indication that I have new customisation options when customising furniture.

Not only do I not understand what she gave me but now she just repeats the same routine every day, as if stuck in a time loop.

Does anyone know what's going on? Surely it can't be a bug?

LOL omg no she's giving u a fabric for certain items that you won't see until you customize said items. she only gives you a few then stops completely eventually

so yeah there shouldn't be anything in ur inventory

Can you give an example of the items? She's done this multiple times already and the dialogue is always exactly the same, to the point where it feels like the game is broken.

Considering how user-friendly the rest of the game is I find it hard to understand why this bit would be so obscure and confusing.

i assume youve customized furniture before? say for example a chair, how you can change the wood grain, or a bed, the pattern on the fabric. she's basically unlocking new options for the customization for you to use.

Customization options work differently in this game.

What you need to do is go to the crafting bench and check out the items that Sable's talking about via the Customization option. You'll see that new options that you did not have before are available there. You should have more options than before.

I've customised many things so far and know how it works, but Sable never mentions any furniture by name when she gives me the fabric, so I have no way to test it out.

And it just seems so odd her doing the same thing day in and day out.

I guess I've got no option but to just wait it out and hope she changes her routine at some point.

Has anyone ever had them do anything new after they start offering a new fabric?

Everyone has - the game is designed that way. You also don´t need any specific piece of furniture. Most things with patterns will do. When you customize them you will find a new option with all of the designs she has given you. Apparently after a while she runs out of designs and just talks to you the normal way.
