Potential issue with game - character slowing when walking fast.

You would just have to buy new joycons, not an entire new switch. Can't you just pair new ones with the system? (I'm a new switch owner so correct me if I'm wrong)
Yeah I just realized I could buy new joycons if I need to since I don't have a switch lite. I just updated my controllers in my setting though, which I didn't realize could be updated but I looked up the issue. If that doesn't work I'll try re-calibration, and maybe I'll be able to find some to buy if not. I think a lot of things are sold out atm but there are worse problems going on right now so I'll survive.

My sister also has joy con drift, but she said hers managed to calm down a bit and it's not as bad. Not sure how it looks or feels, mine haven't drifted yet (fingers crossed) ><

Hi all! PSA: we experienced drift with two of our joycons (the left ones) and we found a solution that worked for us without sending them for repair!

If you can find electronic contact cleaner (we found ours at a small hardware store - still deemed essential), you can lift the skirt on the joystick and spray some, then let sit for an hour or so. Worked like a dream to clean out any dust. Might take a few tries, but since our second cleaning we've had no issues. Much better than not having joycons for weeks.

Hope this helps!!

Oh I'm glad it's gotten better for your sister. I just updated my controllers and re-calibrated the controls and the motion sensor for the controllers and consoles and that seemed to work so far. Fingers crossed haha :)

My left one is the issue too, I'll try this thanks!

I had drift on my left joycon so bought a new set from target as I heard that Nintendo US wasn't doing repairs right now. After a couple of days there's drift on that one as well - so just be warned that buying a new set might not be the answer!
