Private beach?

Does anyone have any theories on what the little "private beach" at the top of every map is?
It seems unusual that every single map has one... but maybe it's just decorative.

Same as the lump of grass that goes out to the sea, and the dock, purely decorative for now.
Hopefully they're just unfinished features, I hope to see Kapn show up again with an island with minigames.
(Well the dock does have specific fish spawn there if I remember right but other than that).

You can just walk on the rocks, so you can terraform your way to it. I already put down a path that way, but I have no idea what to do with it. It's a very small space to decorate.

I just put two tiki torches on mine lmao. I really don't know what else to do with it, it's such a small area.

you can't terraform on the beaches, but you can change the area leading up to it!

I put stairs leading down to it, where there 's a couple beach chairs & a campfire!

I just use the area as an out-of-the-way area to dump my extra DIY cards so that it does not clutter up my main beaches.

it is? I knew it wouldn’t be big, but there’s barely space to put more than a chair or two. Very odd imo

it's definitely smaller than i expected, i have two log stools and a campfire there!

i would love to see it used for something (ex. return of kapp'n and minigames! special fish can be caught! special event npc appears here randomly like wisp does!) but i don't have any expectations.

I agree it seems odd!
I want to think there's a reason it's included on every island, but I have no idea. I guess it's a mystery for now
