PWP 'replacements'

So I love love LOVE how in this game furniture is placeable outside, however to my understanding the only things in this game that work similarly to PWPs are projects like bridges and actual buildings. So what are the alternative items in this game/some items that would go really well outside? Used to particularly love the fountains/springs PWPs and things like outdoor clocks, items to make a playpark, etc. Would be cool to know what people are doing nowadays in this new version - cheers

The outdoor items you can buy with the Nook Miles are basically the 'replacement' for PWPs. Very similar to all the things that would normally be a PWP in New Leaf. There are outdoor clocks, fountains, and other things that would normally be PWPs. The only difference is that it is treated as a furniture item. They cost a lot of Nook Miles, though.

I could list all the "PWPs" I have available for purchase w/ my Nook Miles, if you'd like to see what all's available.

Also, something to be aware of: They have different variations but, despite being furniture, can't be customized at the workbench. If you want a different color variant, you'll have to trade with another player who has the color you want.

Ahh thanks, didn't realise the more 'pwp' style things would be paid for in nook miles - works for me though as finding them easier to earn than bells and trying to pay home loans off! How do I unlock these please? And I assume they'll show up in 'Redeem Nook Miles' at the ABD if they're bought with nook miles?

And whilst I'm here actually, something else I'm a bit confused about - how come there's Nook Shopping at the ABD which is bells currency, what's the difference to that and buying items at the shop? Or is it just a way to have extra items obtainable daily? Just doesn't make much sense to me having two places selling items for bells I guess, but love the game regardless!!

Also I'd love to see a list of those items if possible, bcmii, but only if it's no trouble!

It’s like the mail order kiosk in New Leaf. You can reorder most furniture you’ve picked up, and I guess they put exclusive items there to make you want to use it every day. I wouldn’t be surprised if a similar machine shows up in the upgraded store, but I don’t know that.

I wish I could remember when stuff like the fountains get unlocked. I think it’s when you finish putting down the first three plots and Nook asks you to build a campsite.
