I just want some clarification before I place another plot down. On my restarted second island I currently have 7 villagers . I placed a plot yesterday and today it has a sold sign. Probably a silly question but would I be able to place another plot down for the villager in the campsite or do I have to wait for the eighth villager to move in. I would like my camper Eunice to move in but don’t want to place a 9th plot if she can’t move in. Thanks .

from what I've experienced, you can place a plot down after placing another one, and that plot basically functions normally. I'm not sure if Eunice will move in though, so try placing an open plot down and see if she'll move in.

The thing to keep in mind when moving in villagers is that you cannot really kick out a villager if you don't have all 10 of them. So the campsite villager will not move in if you don't have a plot placed down.

To answer your question, you need to have the first villager move in first and then place down the plot for the next villager to move in. I don't think its possible to have both plots saying "Sold".

Thanks for answering. I ended up just asking her if she wanted to move in and surprisingly even without a plot down she said yes. I wasn’t sure I would be able to place a plot for her but it actually let me .

The camper villager is a scripted move in, and until they move in the prologue will not progress.

I thought that was only for the first camper the first camper already moved in. I was just curious since I already had one plot on the island that has sold could we add one more without messing up the move in process. As it turns out you can have two plots sold at the same time.

Yes only the fist camper, hence the prologue. I might have just been confused on the problem here. Oops.

I think Eunice was a random camper, and the other plot was probably the scripted camper or a random-move in

Sorry if I worded it weird .I had placed a random plot the other day and on the same day that it filled I had a camper I wanted to invite. I just didn’t know if you could have two plots have sold signs at the same time.

You have 7.

Your “Sold” sign will be for the villager No. 8.

Asking your camper, Eunice, to move in…she would be your No. 9.

Since you do not have a plot for her…she cannot move in yet. She will tell you Tom Nook informed her there is not enough room. This means…go ahead and place that next plot so Eunice can be No. 9.

This is actually smart because you get to control, at the beginning (when not all ten slots have been filled), bringing in villagers slotted between Nos. 7 to 10.

What you will not be able to do is go to Mystery Island and expect to find villagers. They appear there if you have an available plot. (A vacancy.)

Also note: The villagers appearing on your map [screen] are listed according to seniority; meaning, the game date on which they moved to your island. (Each one’s first day.) So, no two villagers will move in on the same game date. And your No. 10 will not try to move from your island.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer I really appreciate it. Definitely understand it now . I’m actually not doing mystery tours since I want most of them to auto fill. I really appreciate your help.
