Question about Celeste and shooting stars

Does Celeste appear somewhere on your island every time there's shooting stars in the evening? I just started playing now and I've got shooting stars tonight but I can't seem to find Celeste anywhere.

On my case, I've had Celeste just wandering around aimlessly by the shore.
Though I've been staring at the sky but no shooting stars.

Same. I really want to collect the fragments but I never seem to see ANY shooting stars, regardless of whether or not Celeste is in town or not. And I wait a long time.

Yeah I had shooting stars last night and no celeste.
My friend had shooting stars one night and had celeste the next night in his island. I'm really not sure of the actual pattern. Gonna run around like wild to try to find celeste when it hits 7pm tonight to see if that might be the pattern
