Question about Celeste/Star Pieces

So I've had 2 meteor showers so far on my island, meaning I've started to build up quite the collection of Star Pieces! I didn't initially want to look in to what to do with them, but after a second meteor shower last night and another collection of Star Pieces appearing this morning, I decided to do a bit of Googling...

Turns out Celeste should appear to tell you how to craft the Star Wand? Although I've had no sign of her yet... what time of day does she usually visit? Am I missing something, or just being impatient?

celeste visited me yesterday, and later on in the night i had a lot of shooting stars. i had shooting stars a night or so before she visited, so maybe that's the requirement? if ur impatient for a star wand, a bamboo wand works just the same. i dont know if it's just a different "skin" of the star wand, or maybe it has a durability?

edit: and i also think that a meteor shower is a completely different thing than just shooting stars? i read that if ur actually having a meteor shower, the daily briefing would tell u. but im not really sure as there isnt much info out there

Celeste appeared last night for me, but I don't recall seeing any shooting stars in the sky. Do they appear randomly?

i have had meteor showers two nights, but found celeste during one. it was before building town hall as well - maybe it's not guaranteed she will show up every time?

I had a meteor shower yesterday. No announcment but my villagers talked about it. Around 8pm Celeste was in my town and gave me a recipe

weirdly i'm having the opposite problem. celeste came last night but i haven't had any meteor showers
