Question about hybrid flowers!

Hello, I haven't been able to find solid info on how to make purple pansies (everything I've seen is just carried over from new leaf, without confirmation that it's the right method), could anyone confirm for me what the method is ;; I have hybrid reds from breeding blues/oranges together, but it looks like for blue ROSES the hybrid reds can come from orange/purple (which, maybe that was a thing in NL but I always thought it was just orange/orange, so I assumed that was a change)

I'm just not sure where to find the right info for this game, so I thought I'd ask here!

blue roses come from orange and orange i think. i think purple pansies come from hybrid red (so not red right out the seeds but red from redxred i think) and blue.

EDIT: this picture ive been using says redxred and bluexblue produce purple pansies. i still think if u use red, it's a hybrid red (thats how it was in nl i think). i've posted the guide in the spoiler

Oh woah... that's not what I expected for the roses (I wish I could have found consistent guides haha), but thanks for the reply! I'll definitely look into that ASAP.

Blue roses come from 2 hybrid red roses. Hybrid red roses come from orange and purple roses breeding together. I believe the process was the same in new leaf

Okay! Thank you, I've had a few hybrid reds from purple/orange breeding and they're taking their sweet time but I was hoping for some confirmation that I wasn't completely off the mark. (I was probably doing it wrong in new leaf, which is why I never managed them there haha)
