Question about other fruits/flowers

Does anyone know how to get other fruits/flowers without trading or is it the only way to get them? At the moment, I only have cherries (main) oranges, wind flowers (default*), tulips, pansies and hyacinths



*(I maybe wrong on this as my town hall flower is a tulip, not a windflower?)

I have mums as my main flower and oranges as my fruit. Initially the Mystery Islands I visited had oranges and mums, but that seems to be changing. Yesterday I got orange, pink and blue hyacinths from an island...filled my pockets almost completely with them. I'm hoping this is going to continue...the increasing variety, I mean. My husband and I have exchanged flowers and fruits, of course, but we don't have peaches yet, or several of the flowers. Oh, pretty sure I found pears on an island once, also.

"Skyloft, where ships sail the skies and the ground is shrouded in mystery." I love this, by the way. I named my island Moonraker; it is the name of one of the highest sails on sailing (duh) ships. I named my character Ciarran, (pronounced Keeran). It means sailor in Gaelic.

Is Game Cube the only system for SOAL? I just checked it out. It must still be fairly popular...looks expensive!

Mystery islands is one way to do that. I found peaches many times there, and my native fruit but that is about it. I couldnt find the rest but maybe you will be more lucky. Your in game mom can send you non native fruit, too. Mine sent me apples.
My native flower is windflower and i have been getting the same flower seeds as you. No roses or mums so far.

I'd like to know this as well. Cosmos are my native flower, and I've only seen Cosmos/Hyacinths on Nook Mile Tours. I've gotten Cosmos, Hyacinths, Pansies and Windflowers in my Nook's Cranny. I want to get Roses/Mums/Lilies but I'm worried trading is the only option... is that true, or will Nook's Cranny sell them eventually?

Its capped to 4 unlockable flowers a person, both in nook island and nooklings shop. Then, you have to trade for the rest. It's incredibly irritating.

If anyone needs hyacinth, cosmo, windflower, or tulip seeds, hmu. I am desperate for as many bags of white lily seeds as I can get. Oh, I can also get rose seeds from my boyfriends island.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have been complaining about it for days on here. Some people probably think im nuts by now. I see no reason they should have done that, I think we should be able to buy all flower breeds of basic colors.

I think they really wanted to push trading to make that money with the online thing, hence, the non editable object colors too. Which, again, is silly to me. enough people would be trading for hybrids and furniture in general. The locked/limited colors and flowers (especially) feels really weird.

It is what it is for now. I am hoping with an update or two, the nooklings store will expand a third time, or leif will get a section, and we can unlock them all.

I think you have to trade. Not Nintendo's brightest idea, if I'm being honest.

But if anyone is looking for apples, peaches, cherries + wildflowers, tulips, and hyacinths, let me know and we can trade!

They've done a lot about the game to make you want to pay for Nintendo Online, so this really isn't surprising.

@FootballFish I find it very frustrating when they make online trading mandatory, and I also agree that people with no online access will definitely feel like they are lacking content. They obviously made certain flowers rarer than other ones as I reset multiple towns to make my town and never saw a single rose/lily/mum.
I had no idea until today lilies and mums existed in NH, and I've been on this forum for a few days. I really hope they add other ways to acquire them, although I am lucky that I do got online membership but trading with strangers (no matter how nice) is not something I enjoy lol

Theres only one upgrade so far, and no. No new flowers available. Maybe in the future with new upgrades added in with updates.

I feel like you should at least be able to find roses either in Nooks Cranny or a mystery island because they are needed for golden roses.

RIP to the violets.

Every day I learn of something more that's been cut out.

This games feels like a carcass after vultures have ravaged it.


Edit. I did find a screenshot of a Jacob's Ladder though, so that's good they haven't removed them too.

Ah, well that sucks, I was hoping that the mystery tours would give us different varieties as I’ve been on a handful of them and have only ever seen cherries and wind flowers (and the occasional tulips with recently seeing hybrids for tulips) thanks for the info, everyone!

aww, thanks, i actually named my island Lanayru, its a region that is water based in the Zelda series, and that I think it’s a nice name for an island that’s surrounded by water. (Beautiful name you picked for your town, makes mine sound lame)

for SOAL yes, the original came out on the Dreamcast system called SOA, but I recommend the former as it has all the updates, if you aren’t against it, I suggest emulating it. [\spoiler]
