question about scorpion spawns in town

i just started my village a week ago and i noticed one evening a couple of scorpions in a certain area on my map. the next night they did not appear there so i thought there must be a scorpion spawn area near that location so i dug up the flowers and trees that were in the area thinking that the scorpions would return...but they havent!
so my question is; how can you define where your scorpion spawn areas are without tearing down everything in the process? is there anyway to tell?
i know about the mystery island however, i want the scorpions to spawn in my town in designated areas frequently.

I find scorpions spawning in random places in the island for me. I did tear my island down a year ago and i’m still working on it, but both of the empty and decorated areas there can still spawn scorpions and tarantulas depending on the time of year.
