Question about things in trees

I thought that you could only find 1 furniture and up to 2 wasps per day in trees.But today I found 2 furniture items and 5 wasps... so I was really surprised. Did they change the maximum limits sometime and I missed it??

Its 2 furniture items, and 5 wasps, but I often have difficulties find any of them in my island. I don't know if that's because I'm at the max limit of trees (one more and my island rating drops to 4 stars), but if I want to grind the "shady shakedown" nook mile achievement, I have better luck on mystery islands.

However, you can only find 2 items and 5 wasps per day, between your island and mystery islands.

I believe it has always been this way. On our own islands we have two furniture trees and five wasps. In mystery islands, we get one furniture tree and one wasp.

If the wasps bother you at all you can soft reset to find all 5 wasp trees for the day, then move them all together and just never shake them. They'll always remain the "wasp trees" if left unshaken and if they're all together you'll know which ones never to shake again.

I believe this hasn't been patched out but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I could've sworn when I've shaken trees on mystery islands, I've managed to get items even if I've already gotten the 2 items from the trees on my island...I could be misremembering. Maybe I will test this soon since whenever I play I always shake all my trees.

i always had a fear of shaking trees because of wasps, but they made it ... absurdly easy to catch them in new horizons??

you need a net equipped and be standing right in front of the tree: simply shake it. if there is a wasp nest in there - as long as there is nothing like flowers, furniture, etc on the spot you're standing on and on the sides of the trees - your character is programmed to immediately turn to the direction of the wasp nets. simply press 'a' and viola! now you got a free wasp 'n nest.

If you shake a tree with a net, you can spam the A button and you'll catch the wasps 100% of the time. No skill required. Your character will face them automatically.

I've always seen: 1 item, 1 wasp, 1 fossil, and 1 bottle on mystery islands per day.

every mystery island will have 1 wasp and 1 item in a tree, no matter how many you go to per day, and it does not effect your island’s number of wasps and tree items. At least I have never found a limit, even going to 50+ islands in a day.

the fossils and recipe bottles seem to be random. Sometimes I find them on most islands, sometimes I hardly find any. But there does not seem to be a limit.

You can find an infinite amount of wasps and furniture on Mystery Islands as all of them (except things like Bamboo Island or Sister-fruit Island) carry 1 of each. Well, "infinite" as in "how much time are you willing to spend buying NMT". Fossils and bottles are random.

When I've villager hunted I usually get one furniture item and one wasp per island, and I haven't noticed any limit at all. Sometimes I can island hope for quite a while, filling my inventory with furniture and wasps, and then selling them before heading out again. So I'm not sure there's any limit for NMT islands? For your town, yes (though I thought I read somewhere that it's linked to island rating- you could start finding two furniture items and a certain number of wasps after hitting 5 stars, this seemed accurate to me based on my experience, but I could be wrong), but I don't think the islands.

Also, for anyone bothered by wasps, they're really easy to handle- just make sure you're holding a net when you shake the trees (you can do that in this game) and shake them from directly below them (i.e. you're facing the tree and are facing north). Shake them, and when the wasp nest falls, press A as soon as you can. Boom, you've caught a wasp. Even just putting the net so it's first one your tool wheel (i.e. when you press either < or > button, it immediately comes up) can work (again, just press A as soon as you have the net ready). IDK how to put videos in posts, but here's a video showing how easily that can work, with some practice. They're really not too terribly hard once you get the hang of it, I almost never get stung these days.

I believe it is 2 Furnitures and 5 Wasps. I remember doing these daily to grind bells. Sometimes I only found less but since I have so many trees, I didn't bother shaking them all again.

Yep, just to solidly reiterate:
- Every single mystery island that does not contain your sister fruit [ other than bamboo island, obviously ] contains one tree with a wasp, and one tree with a piece of furniture.
- Your island contains five wasps, two pieces of furniture, and fifteen 100 bell bundles. Yes, you can have just seven trees and guarantee your furniture and wasps and nothing else, lol.
- There is no cap whatsoever on mystery islands, except for how many mystery islands you can physically visit before the day resets.

I'm searching for villagers right now for my 8th house because Isabelle insists my 7 isn't enough buildings ( sigh ), and I only had 25 items in my storage when I started. I just got an achievement for good things in store 4 [ 200 items lol ] at this point ... This has been me TTing to stay within the same day, but. Yep. :'>

What if you only have 5 trees? Lmao. My island is clear because I JUST got around to "creating" it before i found out about the update a couple months before the direct.

Version 2.0.0 has just changed the game for NMT islands.

Today I found 4 items in trees on NMT islands, as well as 4 wasps. In my town, I got the same old 5 wasps and 2 items. Today so far, I found 6 items and 9 wasps.

I don't know if there is a daily limit anymore. I'll check some more after work later today.

Wow! I’m confused. I’ve been playing this game since it’s release date and never got more than one item from tree shaking.
