i've heard people say that you need download play to live in the same town+house, and i've heard that you can just use the same cartridge...are both possible, or just one?(which one?) i'm confused.

thats what i want...and hope there is...i dont mind if me and my brother play at different times, but i'm not going to buy a 2nd ds and 2 copies of acds, that's ridiculous.

i thought download play was if you wanted to visit a town, but didnt have wi-fi...i hope storm and i are right that all people living in the same town share the same cart...bul, what you said about 2 ds's and 1 cart makes no sense.

i don't care about playing at the same time...my question is: Will more than 1 person be able to have a "save file" in each copy of ACDS? (So, in other words, can i play at one time, save and quit, and then my brother can play in the same town as me but with his own character?)

"download play" is the term for LAN, it also, to an extent, can mean Wi-Fi... i think thats what they mean by "download play" they wouldn't need to make you have 2 DS's for 2 people in one town... that makes no sence.
