I haven't visited this site in a while, but I have 2 burning questions recently and would like to hear some thoughts.

1. Considering the lack of bridges, and not being able to craft a vaulting pole until after you place your house (I assume crafting is available after you place your tent), I'd think they'd let us move our tent if we wanted to place it on the second level or at least on the other side of the river? How do you think this process is done? With the ability to choose where your neighbours' houses go, do you think we'll be able to relocate their homes as well if you wanted to place them on the other side of the river after building a bridge?

2. The waterfall. This one really confuses me. Obviously we haven't seen the entire map yet, but since the grasslands have 3 levels, but the beach has none (that we can see so far), which must mean there's something beyond the rocks. The map doesn't show this, and it shows the ocean surrounding the island, but I don't see how this is possible if the elevation of the beach and ocean remain the same while the river has waterfalls, which indicates water must be coming from higher up and possibly another source. Does this mean there's something beyond the rocks? The river on the map doesn't connect to the rocks however, so maybe the water is somehow coming from underground.

I'm probably thinking too much about these, but let me know what you think.

I hope bridges can be built early on, and surely there would be at least one in place.

Yeah, the water must be filtrated from underground, going from brackish to fresh.

These are really good questions.

1. I would guess you can move the location whenever you upgrade. That seems to be the simplest solution, right? Because it makes sense that you might place a house in a different place than you set up a tent. I wonder if they'll allow us to move neighbors though. What I've been wondering is what if you place your tent in a place where you don't have access to your neighbor's houses? I'm assuming they might restrict you a bit at the beginning of the game so you can't screw yourself over like that.

2. That's a great point. I guess we have to assume it's like fresh spring water from the mountains that comes down in a stream. Kinda weird on an island though...

I think the cliff area will be at the back on the highest level in the mountain area.
I was actually expecting a quarry to be there and part of the cliff to be a cave.

You will be locked to a certain point of your map from the start until you unlock the vaulting pole to navigate around rivers.
You are free to move your tent around as I believe it is now an object, rather than a structure set up by Tom Nook.
The villagers on your island with you will ask you where they should move their tent but if you prefer to let nature take its course, you can leave it up to them!
I think, since they are also in debt, they need to pay off their loan too, we might have to help with that or they'll ask us if they should stay put or relocate. Don't worry too much since they can always move out too! Remember they won't stay forever, unless you want them to ⸜(๑⃙⃘'ᵕ'๑⃙⃘)⸝⋆︎*

We have much more control over what happens to the island! We are going to be building this island from scratch and moulding it into our dreams! I'm going to wait for more info but this is my understanding of the process so far ? ?`?) ♬︎*.:*

I would think you could move your tent after you unlock the vaulting pole. Like before you upgrade to an actual house maybe you have the option to move you’re house elsewhere. I hope at least. I don’t see them locking us to only living in the first section we start off in. As for the villagers hopefully it’s something similar.

The waterfall is kinda confusing lol.

These are pretty interesting questions.

As for moving homes, I'm sure there will be a way to move your tent in the game after you get the vaulting pole. Even though we didn't see any bridges in the Tree House trailer map, there might be a least one that you start with. I could be wrong. We might even be able to craft the vaulting pole before we place our tents down, so we may have access to the higher areas before that. These are just some things I'm guessing, and I could be wrong with them.

Also, the waterfall is mysterious. It might just be coming out from underground. o:
