[Questions] Planting

Okay, so I've been planting some Fruit Trees. Unfortunately, I time Time Traveled today to get some turnips and resell them over another member's town. I noticed something very weird though.

When I Time Traveled back to Sunday, all my trees were still saplings. I thought they would dissappear, but fortunately, they didn't ^_^

When I Time Traveled back to my regular time (in this case, Today), some of my trees were starting to grow. However, some of them were still saplings.

Here are my questions:
1.) How long does it take for trees to grow and bare their respective fruits?
2.) How will you know if and when a tree you tried to plant has died?
3.) Am I suppose to water them everyday?
4.) Are there any tips as to making them successfully grow?

Please note that I planted my trees a only a few hours ago.

Well, me it took about 4 or 5 days to grow a tree. And just in case I watered it every day!

The very next day.

No.

only water them the first day, don't run on them, and try not to even walk on them. if you water them and stay away while running, they will sprout if they're in a square that is able to grow trees. some squares in your town will never grow trees no matter how many attempts you try to plant trees there because those will be squares where fossils/weeds grow or events take place.

I'll make sure to keep these things in mind when planting trees and what not. If only I knew which parts of the city are not fertile.

A good way to insure that a tree will grow, plant it in the spot of another tree, it will grow if you don't run over it.

Trees do not need watering. I planted over 50, they all grew. Best growing tactic, is to cut down normal trees you do not need and plant fruit in place of the stump, from my experience, this actually guarantees growth.

w8 i always run over them and they ever growth up also i watered them every day until they up to give some fruits
