I still don't understand why there's a minimum character requirement of two characters per post. Such a weird limitation and I don't see how it would prevent spam at all. Any links would be way longer than that.

It's a bit archaic, but it was designed in a time where people would spam for the sake of completely trashing a message board. Churn out as many topics and messages as you can and give staff hell.
