Not so far in the past, the idea of superhuman powers were things straight out of myth and
legend; tales whispered to children and hopeless romantics to fill their dreams, falsehoods spun by
silver tongues to encourage inspiration or even fear. Those who dreamed the powers might be real
were made to seem insane, and yet they were forward thinkers far beyond their time. With the gr-
owing popularity of genetic modifications in human beings, new and strange mutations began to e-
volve; the very first super humans to walk the earth in known history.
To begin, the powers were simple. Side show parlor tricks grew common; inhuman athleticism,
a jump in the number of people that could bend spoons with their minds, a few people even started
to claim they could manipulate fire. The number increased. The powers grew. Only a select few have
"the gift" but those that do are singled out immediately for the R.I.S.E. program.
The program starts whenever the aptitude is discovered; this can be any point between birth
and subsequent death. Most powers are discovered between the ages of fifteen and thirty; this time
period is the prime opportunity for entrance into the powered community. When powers are discover-
ed the vessel is entered into the program. They are cataloged, studied, and trained. A budding mem-
ber of R.I.S.E. becomes available as a side kick at age twelve and after at least two years of training.
At the age of eighteen, after shadowing an official hero for at least three additional years, the Riser
is made eligible for their official R.I.S.E. documented hero license.
License in hand, and a heart full of pride, a fresh face in the hero industry is always welcomed.
Work is varied; solving crimes, hunting bounties, and general good deeds all pay well and while wallet's
grow full, hearts grow fuller. The job of a hero is glorious, shining, and proud and a while a hero's work
is never done, and some jobs are harder than others in many ways, the life of a Risen hero is a full one.
I AM ONLY ACCEPTING THE FIRST 8 PEOPLE THAT POST A FORM, SINCE THE CHARACTER LIMIT IS 16 AND EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO HAVE TWO CHARACTERS: ONE FEMALE AND ONE MALE.

viii. characters cannot be overpowered.

x. this is a relaxed roleplay. i dont except too much, just around two sentences. more is always better.
xi. be nice to your fellow roleplayers. characters can be mean, roleplayers should not be.
because it is likely fighting will occur in this roleplay, here are a few rules;
i. there will be no killing of a character without it being discussed and approved by the roleplayer.
ii. fight scenes should be kept clean. action packed sequences are encouraged but gore and extreme violence aren't allowed.
iii. the results of a fight should be discussed ooc.
