Usually people are offering 35m for him and such, which I, of course, can never get, so I really appreciate when people offer to sell him for free!

He actually can go for much higher around here and other AC-specific communities. Someone posted here a couple of weeks ago offering 20 million for him and a few people gave them crap because Marshal is "worth 70-120mil" and said they were trying to "rip people off" :s Ironic since 120 million for a villager seems more like a rip-off to me...
