Imbri
Resident Night Mare
I think it's rained the last 4 out of 5 days in Salem. I wouldn't mind so much, but it hasn't been bringing coelacanth in with it. If I'm going to get soaked and spend my evenings on the beach, please give me something to show for it instead of sea bass and squid.
I paid off the construction of the fountain and built a pathway around it. I'll line it with bushes, eventually, but leave the area below it open as a little park. Maybe I'll put a few lamp posts up so that houses can't be built. Add some flowers and it'll be a nice place for villagers (and me) to congregate. I don't have anything on my list that I really want to build right now, so I'm able to save my bells for my house.
That is coming along, too. The room on the left is now upgraded to full size. I think I'll be able to pay that off tonight, so then I'll start working on either the back room or the right side. I still have to enlarge my bedroom (second floor) and build a basement. By my calculations, adding up all the additions, enlargements, and exterior upgrades, it's going to cost a total of 5.3 bells!!! I certainly hope that Tom Nook puts that money to good use, although knowing him, he probably rolls around in it at night.
I heard from some other mayors that it takes 5 days from when Dr. Shrunk gets the signature sheet back to open Club LOL. OK, then it should be this weekend, I think. And I think Blathers will be hearing back from Brewster in a week or so, so I can start working on getting The Roost built. That will be the best because K.K. Slider will be back. I've missed hearing him perform!
I got the coolest present from Sable yesterday when I went in to see what she and her sisters had. I bought a couple of things (a cute little straw hat and some pj bottoms) and then said hello to Sable. She told me that she had something for me - a mannequin! I took it back to the house and put it in my room. It can be dressed any way I choose, even down to accessories, so I can see what outfits look like before actually putting them on. I dress it at night and then in the morning can change out of my sleeping clothes into my day outfit all in one step! I wish I could do something for her in return.
That's about all. I'm trying to get more of a tan, so I took a trip to the island and am going to lie on the beach all day. Then I can do some fishing/bug hunting before I go back, pay off my loan, and talk to Nook about my next expansion. Just another (not-so) busy day for the Mayor of Salem.
