I put out the fire and turn the heat up slightly. I clean up the shattered glass and move the broken wooden beams to a corner of my room. I look at Cindra and sigh. "Good night." I said, unsure if she was awake or not. I shut the lights off and fall asleep.
My dreams were pleasant, and I slept comfortably all night. I got up and out of bed, and expected to see Cindra up - but she was still asleep. I decided I would cook some breakfast. I took out a pan, lit the stove, and poured pancake mix into the pan.
I slide two pancakes onto one plate and two onto the other. I drizzle them both with syrup, and hand a plate and fork to Cindra. I sit back down in my usual spot, and begin eating one of my favorite foods.
I finish my pancakes and put my plate on the table in front of me. I open my glass door, and warm, golden sunlight hits my face.
"It's really beautiful today." I remark.
I grin. "Yup."
I take of my jacket and hang it on a hook on the wall and put my empty plate beside his.
"I like being outside, but sometimes you have to stay in."
"I'm going to get the camera--" I whispered as I turned around. Without thinking, I walk straight into the side of the glass door. The two animals flee after hearing the cacophony, and I grab my head.
