"Uh..." I look around. "No. Also, how in the world I am a liar?" I run to my bike and grab a rope that was holding pieces together. "Is this alright?" I unravel it, letting the bike fall apart. I run back, handing you the rope.
I gritted my teeth, still unsure of revealing my wings, but I thought they might help getting Miriaki over the cliff. Here goes nothing.
I concentrated, flexing my wings, and poking them through the conveniently placed holes in the back of my shirt. After a few seconds, my wings were out. I folded them like a bird and looked coldly back at the girl. "Well?"
I heard their voices over by the cliff. Finally they had left. It was difficult to lay perfectly still, on the cold, hard, rocky pavement, next to a dead body and surrounded by possible killers.
I got up slowly and checked out my surroundings. Darkness as far as the eye could see. Not a single light.
I ran my hand over where my gun was. I had decided to sneak over to the cliff. It was to dark to try and identity the body. That would have to wait till morning.
I was going to walk to the cliff, but all the holes in the path weren't particularly convenient when you're walking in the dark.
So I had to use my wings.
"No, not an angel. Bird girl, as they say. I have a bird's eyesight and hearing. And I can fly." I was hesitent to rummage through Miriaki's pockets, but I wasn't sure why.
