"I don't know where to get blood from..." I sigh, looking around and grab the bloodiest local I can see, throwing him... or her.. beside Silvia.
"Is that what you mean?" I ask, staring at the other townsfolk, who are cowering behind stalls. I didn't notice she was scary, I can't think of her as scary.
The locals silently clean up and go back to doing what they were doing, but with a scared look. Lucky they aren't scared of me anymore..
A young girl, maybe around the age of 5, trips over and hits the asphalt. She sits up and begins crying. Walking over, trying to be sympathetic so I don't look like someone from the Fang family, I crouch down "Where's your parents?". She glares at me, scrambling back.
"No, no, no, Don't worry, I won't harm you!" I reassure her. "I..I ran away." She says. I gulp. What kind of parents don't look for their child?
"I I guess." I clear up the blood stain and scoop it out from the villager so he is nice and clean and drink it. I suddenly heal up except from the odd scratches. I see the quivering girl staring a me. I sign sadly and tears start running down my eyes like a tap turned on at full blast. "You see Wolf? I am a monster. When I try not to and to protect the people I care for I make people fear me and I don't want to. When I see my friends injured I get angry and offended and then the curse or the "gift" as my parents used to say reacts and then I become a monster and then this happens." I say pointing to the girl and the villagers hiding. I push my head to the ground and wail embarrassingly.
"Girl, she won't hurt you, what's your name?" I ask, pulling her over to you.
"M-Melody.." The girl whimpers.
"Silvia, get up." I growl putting Melody forward.
"Play nice." I growl while walking off, in a more mysterious, angry sort of way. I have gone back to how I used to be..
''AH!''
I woke up, screaming from a nightmare.
Typical. Family being mauled, blah blah. I'm used to it.. why won't I freaking stop screaming?!
I got up, and brushed my already messy hair. No use.
Stupid ears, getting in the way of things..
I wish I was born normal.
I got dressed in my Kimono, and dashed outside. Hmph. Great day.. I thought to myself.
I had no idea what the time was, but I knew I woke up late. Didn't notice, don't care, never will.
I walked around until my two beloved kitties dashed up to me. ''We missed you!'' they yelped in their little high pitched voices.
''I know.'' I said, ruffling their fur.
''Whatever you say, just keep ruffling!'' they purred in unison.
I dry my eyes and brush the dirt off my face. I stare at wolf when she walks off - what is her problem? I smile at the girl shivering with fear next to me. If I can't be normal or treat myself normally why not do it to others? "Hi Melody how are you? I'm Silvia nice to meet you!" I say hoping not to overwhelm her. I consider shaking her hand but I might scare her even more. "Melody is a nice name I wish I had a nice name like yours. I bet your a great singer or play a instrument very well! So how come you left your parents?" I ask in a soft nice voice as if to say I'm not that bad or evil!
(What about Melody?) "Come on Melody let's see where Wolf goes it will be like an adventure!" I say enthusiastically. To my surprise I see her smile at me and say "Ok"
I don't notice, but I'm pulling my dagger out and holding it by my side. Who's following? I can sense someone's following..
I speed up, walking into a dark alleyway to talk to someone- Someone in a cloak..
"Kind of a neutral different. They feel heavier, and I find that they shine slightly brighter than silver normally does." I explain, taking out a thick black book. There are unreadable words etched in gold on the spine. I flip through pages, and read for a minute. I close the book, wide-eyed.
"These aren't silver... My horns, they're platinum!" I exclaim. "Oh, this is so cool. If I can mess around with the material of my horns, does that mean I can re-create them out of any metal? Ohohoho, time to collect some peridot and sapphire."
I flush bright red and clap my hand to my mouth. "Oh my gosh, I forgot!"
I fidget with my hair. "That plaque I gave you was platinum...I just wanted to get rid of it, and I though you wouldn't notice..."
"Ah, thank you!" I exclaim. "I don't mind the change; I always wanted to mess around with my horns, but I was afraid I would hew them off." I hug her for a couple of seconds, and sit back down, elated.
