Raymond on random islands?

hello!
I really want raymond, like everyone else hehe so I was wondering what are ways people are getting him? (Besides trading)
Does he show up in random islands?

i’m assuming he could show up on random islands - i know that’s how some people have been getting him and the other new villagers

Yeah you'll be able to get him and other villagers on islands provided you have the open plots available. Seriously wish the forced smug campsite villager was reset-able because I'm looking for him and I know it'll be a pain. Currently in the process of trying to move out a smug villager in my town in hopes that it may perhaps boost the chances of getting smug types on islands.

The first three tour villagers will always be Normal, Lazy and Peppy. For this reason, you cannot find Raymond on a tour island until after the campsite is built.

But once you have your campsite built and the 6th villager in, the island tour villagers start showing up again. You could see Raymond at that point.

I'll be that someone lol! The villagers I found on the islands after getting the campsite (smug) villager were Snooty and Cranky so I figured the game may want to push us into getting at least 1 of each personality but I'll see what happens

He can definitely show up on islands once the campsite villager has moved in + empty plot is available.

I only have one. My campsite villager was Claude - a lazy.

I can't get smug to show up on the islands no matter how hard I try... it's honestly infuriating... I've been on 66 trips as of today (a lot of my friends helped with tickets bless their souls) after getting the campsite and I always encounter lazy, cranky, snooty, peppy, jock and normal, no smug or uchi.

I moved in a cranky and a snooty (Dobie & Diana) hoping it would help with the chances of getting smug to show in islands but so far I have had none...

I thought that the first camper is always Smug. Many people have claimed that was the case, guess it wasn't 100% correct...?
