I'm so done with constantly smudging my drawings

I'm looking for some advice on inking traditional drawings. I used to use pilot pens since they're pretty rich, but the gel is really prone to smudging and I have to let the drawing dry for a while before I can erase my pencil guide lines. Right now I'm using a regular ball point pen since I can't find my fine point shar-pei. I smudged this one drawing in 7 bajillion different places and there's no way I'm redrawing it.

I want to not ink and just have color pencil but that would mean I have to draw my pencils lines reeeealy light since they show throu certain colors. And I tend to press hard when I'm doing my final lines.

Got any pen recommendedations or tips/techniques for not inking?

I recommend InkJoy gel pens by Papermate. They dry incredibly fast and honestly saved my art life lol. Yoy can get them at regular retail stores like Walmart, too.

Sakura microns!!!! They come in assorted sizes from super fine to pretty thick, dry super quick and are just so nice to use!
