I sold foreign fruit and Reese paid as if it was local. Anyone else have this happen? What went wrong?

Very frustrating! Do you know if she paid the low price for that particular fruit from then on? I was going to plant more but am now debating it if I'll only be paid like it's local.

I have the feeling that they took off that feature, now that there's the Re-Tail "bulletin board" and perfect fruit.

But that's just me guessing.

You try selling and comparing prices at nooks? There may be better deals depending which place you go to for certain things.

I think it is that you have to sell your native fruit at a friend's town. I don't think it works in your own town. For example my native fruit is peaches, and my friend's native fruit was pear, I brought five stacks of peaches to their town and sold them for 65k.

I dunno I swear one of the animals told me they would sell for more.. unless they were talking about perfect fruit...

Weird! According to the guide, exotic fruit should still be worth more than your native fruit.

Apples, Oranges, Pears, Peaches and Cherries are 400 native/2,000 exotic. Coconut, Durian, Lemon, Lychee, Mango, Persimmon and Banana are all 1,000 each (cannot be native).

So you would get 100 for your native, 500 for fruits that could have been native but aren't. Then you would get 250 for all others.

I just checked my town...my native fruit is oranges, I sold Reese a peach and she paid me 500 bells for it. It's strange that she isn't doing that for everyone.

I sold some more and got 250 for them. I don't know why she only paid me 100 a piece the one time unless it was a glitch. Thanks for all the input. Yurusumaji, I'm going to try and take some of each type. Hopefully it'll follow the guide! Thanks again.

The guide I use says that non-native fruit, that could have been native, sells for 500.
Native fruit of the town is 100.
Island fruit is 250.
Persimmons are 250.

Well, I asked Cyrus to make me a green lava lamp, I come back 30 minutes later and it's red. I knew I chose green but just to make sure I decided to try again, this time green wasn't even one of the options but red still was.

Stupid Cyrus.

Nooblord-I had a similar thing. Striped tricolor was an option. I know I picked it and wound up with the bicolor. So it goes. Not the worst glitches for new games I suppose.

Maybe if you plant foreign fruit in your town they start to count it as native? I've not noticed anything like this, but I don't sell my fruit.

I've noticed that Reese sometimes miscalculates the total if I give her 9-stacks of fruits. I now keep them separated and sell them to her 16 at a time, no more than that, so I can check her math. Price changing fruit... what a strange glitch

I've also noticed that prices seem to vary between the 'Mayor' character and 'Non-Mayor' characters.

Dont sell fruit to reese ever... The villagers will pay you 1k per fruit (Native) I can sell 9 native fruit for 9000 bells to the villagers

I once sold 3 foreign fruit for 6k.

Native fruit: 1k
Foreign Fruit: 2k

EDIT: Reese is for selling all the junk you need to get rid of or selling BEETLES... Fruit should be sold to villagers. On the same note, Gems and Fossiles can easily be sold for 9,999 to the villagers

I noticed that too, I forgot to drop some money for my secondary characters, so I just had them shake fruit trees, and they were getting 500 per foreign fruit and I knew i never got that much.
