I keep seeing some people freaking out about x thing or y thing not being in the game because they didn't see it in the Direct. Maybe some people forget because it's been so long since a new main AC game came out (and some didn't even play the previous ones), but we've NEVER known everything about an AC game before it came out. Nintendo ALWAYS keeps secrets so you can have the surprise while playing.

It's way too soon to be upset about something "not" being in the game. We don't know if those things have been removed yet or not, and we won't know until the game releases on March 20th. We might not even know everything even on that day because of how they're rolling out updates over time.

It's fun to speculate, but no need to get angry about your favorite AC villager/NPC/feature/etc being missing yet. :)

Yep. There's a thread of people freaking out about bushes not being in the game because they haven't been shown yet

That's very true, thanks for the reminder! Now back to watching the direct again!! aha

thank you. i think this is a huge adjustment to people because for example, new leaf came out in japan first which meant there was a lot more information for it and a lot less room for speculation; but with new horizons, correct me if i’m wrong, every country’s release date is march 20th which means we’re all getting info at the same time which is hard for some.

and since today’s direct was the largest amount of info we’ve been given so far, when certain features and/or characters aren’t present, people begin to panic a bit, especially since this game will be fairly different from the others.

but like you said, not everything has been revealed yet and i can’t wait to be surprised :>

Agreed!! New villager types haven?t been confirmed or denied, Brewster, Celeste, Leif, Gracie, Redd are all still unconfirmed. Unless it was shown in the direct everything else is still a possibility. There?s no need to be sad something isn?t there unless Nintendo directly says it won?t be.

That was the "final straw" sort of reason I posted this thread. I feel like there's a high probability that bushes will be present. They're doing so much with customization that it makes no sense to me for them to take bushes away.

Of course, I could be wrong and they could be gone. But we simply don't know for sure. Only Nintendo does, and Nintendo's not going to tell us everything.

Still want to know the character limit for the island, and a few other details.

10 characters for the island name at least. They show ?Nintenland? in the FAQ bit towards the end when they talk about 8 characters living on the island.

Sure, but they showed a variety of islands, so it makes sense to worry about something common being missing when it should have been shown at least once in the background. Why would Nintendo build like 10 islands to show different things off without including something once, you know? But of course it could just be a coincidence.

I'm kinda looking forward to looking back at these threads once the game comes out and seeing how much we were wrong about

If Nintendo showed every single detail in the direct, it would drag on forever and that we won't have any surprises. I love surprises, and we're going to pay full price for the game, so why spoil it?

Yes, this is always good to keep in mind. Just because there was a Direct, doesn’t mean we know everything. And that’s a good thing! That means we have more surprises in store when we finally get to play the game. :)

Still wondering why we have to download events that have always been in game, like Easter.

I don't get why it's DLC?

I don't see why it's a big deal as long as they're on time, which they will be

It is just strange. In Splatoon 2 they are no longer supporting Splatfests and I don't think people can play them anymore. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.) It would be sad if that happened with holidays in ACNH.

Actually....Celeste made an appearance in the direct...making her confirmed to return. She is in the segment discussing visitors to the island.

Very strange.
They can't not have Christmas if we don't download whatever it is we need.

Surely these are basic holidays that shouldn't need to be downloaded.
